What a sad story all around. Makes me feel sorry for the guy, but not enough to let him out!

This Captain Nemo guy actually looks like the Troll my kid has. Anyway, to me it doesnt matter what he claims, he got convicted by a jury of his peers, he left a family shattered and heartbroken, basically he is worth nothing to our society, so I wouldnt mind if they gave him an escape plan with a gun and a guantlet of cops to put an end to his pitiful misery.

Something you may all want to remember is that Gene has a family too. They have suffered through all of this as well so when you send in your comments, lets give all involved a little respect!

Hey Reality Bites, I am an old friend of Captain Nemo and for you to say those things about him are completely out of line, although what he did is not good, you don't know him. Stay strong Captain!

Old timer, If you know Woodland you will know he really is mentally ill. I am the other guy shot buy Woodland March 28th after watching him murder Bruce Larsen. I sat thru the trial and spent many hours on the witness stand. Woodland should not be let free, he IS a danger to others, he has proven that. The only reason 1st degree murder charges and the death penalty were not pursued is due to his poor health at the time of arrest. I was told 2nd degree murder was sufficient and that even a 5 year sentence would be a life sentence for him.
Bruce Larsen's 5 kids grew up without a father because of Woodlands actions, I feel NO mercy for Woodland at all. Andrew G. I cleaned up the blood from where Bruce was shot, to me that is a solemn place.
As far as woodlands family is concerned, they lost their father the day he murdered Bruce and they are in favor of keeping him behind bars.

Believe me or not, I'm "Nemo's" 18 granddaughter, he is my mother's father- I'm gonna have to agree and say he is a little mental, but I would also like to say none of you should think that you have a right to say anything about this situation or his family. Thanks.

I am Bruce Larson's youngest son, I was 9 at the time my father was killed. My father was one of the most loved people you could ever know, which was proved by the thousands of people that came to his funeral and viewing that went until 1:00am in the morning.
I realize that Captain Nemo's family lost him at the same time I lost my father, but I wouldn't be able to sleep well at night knowing that the man that shot and killed my father was released after what he did. He brought three loaded guns into a building and unloaded on my father. I didn't get to say goodbye to my father, he was dead long before I got to see him. Captain Nemo's family can atleast see him if they want to visit.
If releasing Captain Nemo means I get to have my father back as well, I would be the first person to lobby for his release, but that is not going to happen.
I have stood in the place where my father died, and I wish that my father had never gone there.
