Utah needs to pay all of its teachers more. We need to provide teachers a comfortable living if so that we can expect them to devote their full attention to educational quality. My hat is off to Utah teachers doing as well as they have, while being among the lowest paid in the nation.
I hope that the legislative committee and the legislature will bring Utah teacher pay up to national average or better and that the legislative committee will restore math education to what it used to be, before it was gutted by math education professionals.
