Draper drama — Actors love fun, chaos of running community theater

What a great story! Lots of people don't appreciate the value of having a community theatre in their area and REALLY don't understand why people work so hard to produce the plays and musicals. This story used one really good community theatre group to tell the story of all. And, by the way, many of the community theatre productions are of good quality with performances that compare well and sometimes favorably with professional productions with ticket prices costing 3 - 8 times more. I've seen some of the productions at Draper Historic Theatre and other community groups and have been thrilled to see the talent here in our Utah communities.

Our family saw this production and it was wondeful! The actors and crew did a fantastic job. This area has a wealth of talent and the community theaters showcase it well.

I was disappointed that this story didn't give more credit to the male leads in this production. They made the show amazing and they were not even mentioned. I would have recommended this show to anyone for their performances! Great job Don and Cosmo!!

Both Chaz Walgamott (Don Lockwood) and Robert Yuen (Cosmo Brown) were very entertaining and gave memorable performances. While their talent and charisma cannot be denied or ignored, along with som many others in this cast, the story seems to be more about Draper Theatre and less about this particular show. This little theatre with the big, big heart seems to be, as it were, in dire need of a 'blood transfusion.' Are any fund-raising events or activities planned for the near interim? If not, there should be. If people knew how much help was needed, they would give.

This show was extremely fun! We almost missed it but are glad to have been in attendance. Looking forward to the remaining shows during the 2008 season.

Out of all the places I've performed, DHT's environment has been by far the most positive and, in many ways, more professional than the professionals-- a GREAT little theatre! I only wish it wasn't so far from where I'm currently living...

I would have to say that being a part of the last play "Singing in the Rain" has been extremely exciting and fun. I have never been in a play before and was very nervous, but all those nerves melted away. I loved this theater because of the warmth that was there. The cast was amazing and the producer and director made it the best experience ever for all of us. I now feel like I have the ability to continue and work on auditioning for another role someday. I loved the fact that this theater was small because it helped my anxieties to be controlled. If I tried at a larger theater I know I would have felt intimidated.. Thank you Draper Historical Theater for this experience.
