I am really glad to see the quote from Brother Killpack. We miss him around here, however his successor, Brother Lund is a good leader here.
I wish the article would have addressed the fact that for many Latter-day Saints going to a non-LDS majority school is the local option.
I used to go to BYU but am now attending Wayne State. Wayne State has about as many students as BYU, but probably under 30 LDS students. Most LDS students thre are grad students and married, so as a single undergraduate I have few LDS colleges.
I have had one class where there was another Latter-day Saint, but he is now serving a mission in Arizona.
Wayne State is a really interesting case, since it is just north of Canada. We have two or three LDS students who come north across the river from Windsor to Detroit every day. I only found out who they were because I was wearing a BYU shirt one day.

In defense of Princeton, there is now an institute meeting on campus. Look under the East Brunswick New Jersey stake on the Institute Locator. I am not sure it is very big, but it does exist.

The Princeton area's Institute does actually meet on Princeton campus- in the student center as a matter of fact. Also in defense of Princeton, it does offer married undergraduate housing.

Yeah, the thing about Princeton isn't correct, nor was it correct when Stephanie was applying to college.

I live in Columbus Ohio. How does the church help with the financial aid for college students? I currently go to Regis University in Colorado and live in Ohio.

Lisa, my husband and I are serving a mission in MN. I know that the church helps depresses area students with finances for college through the Prepetual Education Funds which are loans that can be applied for after serving a mission. Five of our sons worked during school or got loans and have graduated from colleges.
