Poll: Utahns divided on migrants

Most of these posts remind me of the chicken henny penny who said the sky is falling. Exactly what harm do/will these immigrants do to this country.

I have found that the people against illegal immigrants yell the loudest and show the least amount of understanding. I have to ask- what is more important, the letter of the law or the spirit of the law? what is more important, the people or the law? In some cases, the law wins- like speeding. In other cases- illegal immigration- the people are more important. Many in Utah believe that the family is the most important thing. Consider how much damage deporting the "breadwinner" of a family could do. Consider how the children would be affected. INNOCENT children, who did nothing wrong. Some say that their children should go back to their own country for college. That won't work. They have come here, sometimes legally (with a Visa) sometimes not, learned English, become American. Many still have memories of their home country, but many don't. Plane tickets can cost $4000 or more EACH. What are they supposed to do? They try to become legal citizens, but it's a hard road. I implore that each of us please think about the people and their hardships, and not just about self-righteous rants. Please don't waste time bringing me down...thank you...
