This is a good move by the legislature to clean up the laws for private persons to brew small batches of their own beer. There has been a resurgence of interest in brewing beer, and allowing a person to make a little of his own is a good thing.

Mark is a good advocate & representative of Utahs home brew comunity. Thanks for putting a reasoned face on this very popular and responsible hobby.

There are actually 45 states with homebrewing statutes as of Feb. 2008, according the American Homebrewers Association.
This is a great bill that allows reasponsible citizens to enjoy a hobby in the privacy of their own home and be confident that their conduct is within the four corners of the law.
