SB81 requires E-Verify checking for workers

It does not have to be difficult, just require E-Verify, AND if the employer becomes aware that someone might be using a stolen identity, and does nothing, then he is liable. So simple a caveman could do it.

I hope with all my heart this bill is passed. Please, legislature help us overcome the blight of illegal aliens. All large employers have a reasonable dought when it comes to hiring large numbers of foriegn workers that they are illegal. My identity has been stolen by illegal aliens and I can't tell you the heartache it causes. Also my childrens ssn# have been used by unauthorized people. Please pass this bill!

I hope with all my heart that this bill fails and fails big. E Verify doesn't work. IF the bill simply did that, fine but this bill makes its a crime for those who cannot get papers right now, but are waiting for the time to come. If you were arrested for marry your spouse maybe you might think differently too.

I find the comments by Swift executives pathetic. They must think we are fools to believe they had no idea these people were illegal. E-Verify isn't perfect but if followed would not discriminate against legitimate workers. There are safeguards and opportunities to correct bad data.

The Swift boys should be thankful that they were using E-verify, or they would have suffered much more than the loss of illegal workers. This case gives an idea of how rampant ID fraud has become, and why local police need to get on board and help oppose ID fraud, whether by citizen or illegal alien. Also, another reason the IRS needs to support Home Land Security and ICE in searching out those guilty of ID Fraud.

Chalk me up as a "victim" of this flawed e-verify system.
The system claimed that it can't verify that I'm a citizen.

Funny how that works considering :
1)I've voted, which being a citizen is a requirement
2)I have a US passport, which, once again, requires citizenship

I've been wondering why I've had such a difficult time landing a job despite over 9 years experience in my field. I wonder if this e-verify sham of a system is part of the reason why I had so many problems. I also wonder if this e-verify system is the reason why I was laid off after my previous employer was acquired.

Those that are against E-VERIFY have something to hide,and have something to lose. Here are the following groups:

(1) Those that are here ILLEGALLY!!

(2) Relatives, and friends of those that are
here ILLEGALLY!!

(3) Any family that wants cheap labor to take care of their kids/and or to cut their lawn.

(4) Corporate Businesses that want cheap labor.and other smaller Businesses/Companies..

(5) Others that have no clue that this E-VERIFY is to cut out the fraud of STEALING SOMEONE ELSES IDENTITY!!!!!!

Justify it all you want. But every fair minded person knows that people like this KAT here are pure racist scum. "Parasites" like her should be jailed for their hate speech. It was our own weak politicians that kept the border so porous for so many years. Even Bill O'Reilly can admit that. So why should these illegals be punished for something our nation is partly responsible for? I say, strengthen the border and implement a worker program for those here with families. Tearing these families apart to satiate your need for racist hate is inhuman.

I completely agree with Clint. The government needs to realize the way they have been trying to "solve" the illegal immigration issues IS NOT WORKING.

We need to focus on creating a program for the families working here trying to earn an honest living. FAMILIES are being torn apart by these raids. Also if they do create a program to document, not give citizenship to, but to document the workers we can also track who is actually here working, and who is here for other purposes.
