Mind games — Sports slumps more psychological than physical

Did anyone else read Espn's Sport's Guys All-star memory about hanging with Kyle Korver's "Banana Republic" possee at an all-star party a few years ago? Good stuff.

At least we got a great guy playing well on the road. This mixes well with many of our players who do not do as well there. Go Kyle!

Junst remind these players of four simple words: "Regression to the mean."

In other words, if a player averages 40% over time, they will always shoot that percentage over the course of several games. Thus, if they have a few "slump" games in the 20%, I can guarentee you they will eventually have a few breakout games of 60%. So, just keep shooting!

Remember, regression to the mean!

Not much, other than it talks a little bit about Korver and it has his pic attached to the article, and Jimmy read the other article last night so it was fresh on Jimmy's mind.

Jimmy thinks that there are a lot of haters out there. Jimmy knows a lot more about basketball then he is given credit for. Jimmy thinks Korver is going to be huge in the playoffs for the Jazz and eventually Collins will come up big. Jimmy says Collins is a hard worker and a leader in the locker room because he brings experience and he is a sold defender and rebounder.

Your huge player salary is weighing on your mind....

Kyle Korver is a good addition and should be on the floor at the end of the game like he usually is. I like the way he has fit in here and I think he is happy. I am very impressed. By the way whoever keeps posing as me stop it and get your OWN name. Keep shooting Kyle.

Who cares? If we can have his "threat" of a three which helps spread the floor in ESA; and, he can stay hot on the road...we're in a good place!

Please enlighten all of us as to why you know a lot more about basketball than you are given credit for? You needn't provide your real name but a background Bio would go a long way towards silencing your critics.

Personally, I find your 3rd person speech a bit annoying. However, I am willing to give you credit for a number of interesting posts.
