Time Magizine never was, nor will, be for the church or any other church. They never write positev about any church, but ridcul them in their writings.I never subscrib to it.

I thought it was an interesting article that could have been written by Deseret News staff or Salt Lake Tribune staff. The article is a simple and interesting 'character' piece. There is no ridicule or negativity.

The article referenced is not from TIME Magazine. It's from the New York Times, a daily newspaper.

How cool that, in the midst of "Mormon bashing" elsewhere, the NYTimes did a nice little piece about the humanness (and eccentricities--it IS a little weird to most people that a church's clergy doesn't read the paper) of LDS missionaries. It softens the "monster" portrait currently being rendered by others. And it helps people see that missionaries aren't lobbyists for Mitt. Useful bit of journalism.

I, for one, am impressed with such a positive article coming from the Times. The only thing I feel that would have the article more appealing is if the writer had shown respect to use the missionaries title of Elder, rather than the Mr.

My comment: It's very difficult to be serious about the opinion of someone who can't or won't spell the English language correctly.

Outstanding. Newsweek had a well written positive article about Pres. Hinckley this past week.
