With quality wins in Houston and Denver, this streak is as legit as the Spurs winning the Championship last season. Most of the credit goes to Deron Williams. He is just on a tear since finding out he wasn't selected on the all-star game. Lets go for 11 straight tonight --- Go Jazz
I'll be there | 12:41 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
I love a good boxing match, that's why I bought ring side seats for tomorrows match against Matt Harpring and Ron Artest.

Just look for me. I'll be the one sitting next to the hot babe holding "The Price is Right" sign as Slown subs Hart in for Williams.

I sure hope Slown gets over his hart problems before his ability to coach this team comes into serious question

The D-League plays H.O.R.S.E. during All Star Weekend? That league is sounding better and better. Why doesn't the NBA do this?
Uncle Kieth | 8:20 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
You are right, the only team that can stop the Jazz are the Jazz.

Go Jazz, Go Memo, Go Sinan
drewb | 8:37 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
The Jazz can compete with anyone in the west. No doubt about it. Keep the national media away. They will never give the Jazz the respect they deserve. But at the same time, it allows the Jazz to sneak up on the "powerhouses" in the west. Also thanks to Philly again for helping us move up the ranks. They are our true farm system!
sloan hater | 8:33 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Funny, sloan tells the paper that they need to get smarter and tougher YET HE PUTS IN HART.

Jerry, you are a washed up has been. Heaven forbid you compliment your team on an outstanding win streak or play proper matchups . . .
GoodGuyGary | 8:57 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Look at Jazz's schedule for the next 10 games: Sacremento, Chicago, Seattle, Golden States, Clippers, Atlanta, Minnesota, Detroit, New Orlean, and Memphis. Jazz could win the first 7 games without problem. Even Detroit and New Orlean is beatable for the Jazz. If the players keep their concentration, Jazz can win 20 games in a row.

Go Jazz!

The only team that can stop the Jazz are the Jazz? What kinds of comments are those? Let me see, Dirk, TD, Shaq, Kobe, Nash, Yao, Baron, TG, Pau, Parker, AI, Melo, CP, BRoy, yep good thing there are no players in the west to stop the Jazz. The Jazz have one all-star and he does not start. It is incredible what Jerry Sloan (not to forget LMH and KOC) has done for this franchise. A small market that is lucky to even be in the NBA. A market that will never be able to land a top free agent no matter who the coach is. The only one was a guy they had to almost steal from the Cavs who was a second round pick. Heck, Derek Fischer did not even want to play here and he is a nobody. The Jazz have built from the draft and trades to have one losing season since the 80's! What a great franchise this is!
Joe | 9:25 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
To sloan hater: Yeah, it doesn't make sense for Sloan to tell the team how they can continue to improve.

He should tell them how good they are.

Tell them they are the best, both as individuals at each of their positions and as a team.

Tell them other teams cower in their presence.

Tell them they have reached their potential, there's no more room for improvement because they have arrived!

Tell them they are perfect in every way, every one of them is an all-star and this team will go down in history as the best ever in the NBA.

Or, wait, maybe he could leave all that to the fans and actually continue to coach this team and try to help them become even better. Maybe he could help them be aware of their weak areas so they know how to improve.

In fact, now that I think about it, that's probably part of the reason LHM pays Sloan to coach the team instead of paying fans to do it.
Utah Man | 9:34 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Hey sloan hater,
while I agree with playing price over hart, what is wrong with a guy that demands the most out of his team and players. I like that fact the man points out to his players and team that they are fortunate enough to have the talent and abiltiy to play a game at a level many of us only dream of. If you or I show up to work and not do our job we get fired. God forbid these guys are held to a standard like your everyday employee is.

I think any win streak is a legit one, unless you play in the lousy eastern conference. The jazz have fallen to the queens in there losing streak, but after killing denver. I think they are ready.

Ding Ding Ding

Harpring vs. Artest

Streak Ends | 10:24 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
I hate to say it, because Sacramento is very beatable, but the Jazz is giong to lose tonight. The Kings just happen to be one of those teams that cause the Jazz big problems. The streak ends tonight, it is inevitable.
Suns Fan | 10:28 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
please keep playing Hart and not Price.... Jazz will be one and done in the playoffs.... Thank you Hart
re: Joe | 10:32 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
You are obviously a blind sloan lover. All talk and no substance to your replies.
You are putting words into my mouth I didn't even say.
Please explain to me how keeping hart in the line up is "showing them how to be better"- your words.
re: Utah Man | 10:34 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
So what standard is Sloan holding Hart to?
2 bits | 10:34 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Shhhhhhh... We're trying to sneak up on the leaders.

It would be best for Jazz players and fans to pretend the streak doesn't exist.
Suns Fan | 10:39 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Memo to jazz fans please keep playing Hart and not price.

Go suns
Champagne | 10:45 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Here's to 20 more championship-free years!
Jay | 10:42 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Jerry, if you're listening--Stop playing Jason Hart!!!!! One of the reasons why we're on this 10 games win streak is because that guy was hurt for most of them. This streak can also be attributed to decreased playing time for Jaron Collins. Stop playing those two all together and we'll keep winning! They are terrible basketball players!
Hason Jart | 10:52 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Boy, I'll tell ya what, that Jason Hart sure is a piece of work. I hope he learns how to run the last few seconds of the quarters.

Streaking Jazz!? I thought Coach Sloan maintained a strict dress code. Hehe.

Misses # 12 | 11:16 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Why does everyone worry about the 8 minutes of ack-up guard time? Champagne: At least the Jazz were in 2 championships. Do you think the Nuggets, Kings, Sonics, Wolves, Clippers, Hornets, Warriors etc. wish the could have just been in a championship game the last 20 years? (That is just whe West teams by the way) Of course the Jazz could start replacing coaches all the time like those teams and start a lottery streak. That sounds ike a plan.
re: Misses # 12 | 11:33 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Nice try. But none of those teams had stockton and malone or the same coach for 20 years.

Why are all of you sloan lovers so happy with past mediocre playoff appearances?
Skeeter | 11:45 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Why do you complainers never see anything good. We win 10 games in a row and you still hate Sloan. He has 19 out 20 seasons with a winning record and you are not satisfied. Maybe he has something to do with this winning streak. I think it is possible that the JAZZ can go all the way this year. And if they do, you complainers will still find something wrong with Sloan.
RE: Misss #12 | 11:55 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
If you don't think its important that when DWill leaves the game for the backup PG to maintain the lead or extend it then you need to start over at jr jazz again.
Almost all the losses in December happened when Dwill left the game(1st quarter) with the lead and Hart came in and lost the lead almost every time. When he subbed back in for Hart he had to fight every time to get the lead back and when he did Hart would come in at the end of the third quarter and lose it again. If Dwill is always going to have to double his work to get leads back that Hart has lost then you are doubling the work. Its critical to maintain that lead on the road especially. Harpring even said it is hard to come from behind and win on the road. Price is a lot like Dwill he will try to penetrate and push the ball up the court. Hart will come down and pass and then stand around at the top of the key. He is incapable of creating of the dribble. The Price is right. Have your Hart spayed or neutered.
What??? | 11:58 a.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Did someone really post that the Jazz's win streak is as impressive as the Spur's Championship last year? You are joking, right? At the end of each year everyone remembers the win streaks, right? Not who actually won??? The Jazz have played their way to the middle of the Western Conference and should be applauded for doing so. Still, in a playoff series against the Spurs, Suns, Lakers or Mavericks the Jazz would be underdogs. Could they win? Possibly, but I wouldn't bet on them and neither would the majority of the basketball world.
jimmy z | 12:02 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
sloan is terrible coach........way over rated.
ask the other coaches who vote for their peers
for the coach of the year.......its called
Jerry say thanks to Mr. Malone and Mr. Stockton..
thats who put you on the map
re: skeeter | 12:03 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
can you read?
it was noted above that sloan is the one not seeing anything good by way of congratulating his team on their hard work.

This streak will end if he continues to play Hart and if Collins gets meaningful time.

Who cares about his record. Championships are what counts. Not playing unproductive players who "work hard".
Past Playoff Lover | 12:10 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Because when you consider D-Will is the only Jazz lottery pick, EVER, it's a small time market, noone wants to play here, and that despite everything going AGAINST the jazz franchise, we've enjoyed 20 years of good basketball with a winning record and a couple of thrilling playoff finishes. Of course we all want the title, but all in all, we've been spoiled by our franchise for 20 years.
Jeff | 12:20 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Did someone drinking from the Jazzorade say that you killed Denver? The ref gives Korver a questionable at best foul to go up by one in overtime after he called a ticky tack foul on Carmelo to foul him out and you killed Denver? Do any of you Jazz fans know the history between this ref and the Nuggets (specifically Carmelo)? I didn't think so. Just be happy you had this ref for the game as he clearly was the difference maker. Next time you 'kill' an opponent, make sure it was at least your team that was the difference in the game.

Most of the current Jazz roster

"It's our year!"...every year? | 12:46 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Let's get real...The Jazz will always be a second tier mediocre NBA talent. Can't attract the best free agents and don't have the guts to pull off a big trade and give up any talent to get what they need. Unfortunately...they will also not ever do poorly enough to get a great draft pick.

It's not ever going to "be our year" unless you consider making it to the conference finals as a successful year.
Hart | 12:46 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Jason Hart is the best back-up point guard the Jazz have had in years! Name one that's better. I've played many games against him in my life and he is a baller, all y'all just quit your trash talkin', he could take any of you out one on one.
TEAMS | 12:52 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008

3. Houston Rockets
4. G.S. Warriors
5. Miami Heat & now the Phoenix Suns(#5 defaults to whereever Shaq may be residing)
6. Detroit Pistons
7. Wizards
8. New York

Teams I will root for is Jazz dont make it

1. Boston
2. Cavs
3. Hornets
RE: JEFF HA HA | 1:08 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Did this guy referee the last six games in Denver? You know of which that Jazz have won 5.

Yes I agree the refs were horrible. There should have been some flagrant fouls called.

Thug defense-If your opponent beats you and is about to get an easy layup, knock him to the floor without even trying to go for the ball. Lets see Nuggets had 5 teams fouls in fourth with what 8 min to go? You see your team was getting beat quite often.

Your Nuggets were actually lucky to only loose by 3.

Thug-ball is no match for team ball. Good one though Jeff you rock.
Denver Jazz Fann | 1:04 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
In response to Jeff and his complaining about the Refs, Crymello and Flop Iverson get away with more garbage than most, and thats not to mention the biggest punk in the league Kenyon Cheapshot Martin. The Jazz won that game on Wednesday inspite of the Refs. Nice play at the end of the game George, as usual, all players stand and watch one on one basketball. Jeff, next time you watch the game, lay off the Colorado Coolaid.
RE: Jeff | 1:30 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Jeff,
You're right that the Jazz didn't kill Denver. But to call out one call that gave Korver some freebies when AI was flopping all over the floor the entire game amazes me. AI scores more pts in free throws than FG's and you want to blame the loss on one foul call? Those thugs in Denver lost the game. Kenyon and Eduardo should be fined for intentionally pulling players to the ground when they're in the air.
Re: Hart | 1:28 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
You're probably right. I think Hart could definitely beat me, a finance guy, one on one. Then again, I'm not getting paid millions of dollars to dribble around 10 feet behind the 3pt-line until there's 2 seconds left in the quarter to throw up a prayer.

I bet all of the D-League-ers could beat me one on one too. Great argument! Maybe Hart should start for the Jazz because he can beat Jazz fans in a game of one on one.
Re: TEAMS | 1:41 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
I propose that you add the Spurs to your list, perhaps ahead of Washington. I think you will be more satisfied with your hate list that way. Go Jazz!!
Ol'pro | 1:42 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
@ Jeff. . . Jazz fans , Positive or Negative, might say alot of things . But putting the blame on the officiating by you,is petty and lame. Have'nt seen nor heard such unpardonable remarks come from this side of the Rockies from Jazz fans.(except for the MJ play-off deal)

It's not the Jazz players that have reputations of being thugs, as per Carmelo,Martin and company .

This Drink you mention "Jazzorade", you have any "Chicken Nuggets" with that?
Streaking Jazz | 1:57 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
We hope nobody is noticing! If we wanna streak it's our own business. The media just cant keep anything private can they? Leave Britney and the Jazz alone!
SHAQ | 2:06 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
Hart? OK little fella, one on one , I'll sit on ya . Ha, Haaa, Haaaaaa
But than,I do not have to worry you comin', ya stand out there jo-jo'n the ball for 24 not know'n what to do ha,haa ,haaaa!
To Fredward From Sinan | 2:00 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
What is to be a goofball ?
Re: Sloan Hater | 2:21 p.m. Feb. 8, 2008
I'll bet you were the best player on your Jr. Jazz team, then dominated in junior high school and churgh league games. Just a guess here, but I'll bet you tried out of the high school team but quit halfway through the first day because the coach failed to recognize your incredible talent. Did he yell at you and make you cry? Did he hurt your feelings because he expected more from you than you expected from yourself?

I can't help but wonder if you're projecting your own self-loathing onto Sloan, because you know, he's a coach and everybody knows coaches are mean and scary.

Oh, and to the other guy who said Sloan's peers don't think he's a good coach because he never won coach of the year: What world do you live in? Sloan is very well respected among his peers. Certain players won't play for him because he won't coddle them like they want, but other coaches? They love him because he's a tough guy and he won't take crap from punk players. They wish they could be more like him.
