Romney drops out of race for GOP nomination

I am glad he's out of the race. We don't need a President who puts down the faith of others ("European churches are great backdrops for picture postcards, but they are empty inside.") There's already enough prejudice in our world from religious extremists. We don't need one of these extremists being President.
Yes he did and it turned out that it was a lie because Romney is a liar who changes his position every election he runs in. Furthermore, not only did he say that he saw his father march with MLK he also backtracked and said he was only figuratively speaking and didn't see it with his eyes and then we learned that he also said "he and his father marched with MLK" so either he was blind when he and his father marched with MLK or he lied the first and the second time because he's a liar. It's sad to watch a member of the Church behave in this manner but liars are members of the Church too.
Romney's speech on faith was an attempt to use the Church for political gain and it was morally repugnant to do so yet the more I have learned about this man the more convinced I'm that he wouldn't be a good President and isn't a good member of the Church.
MITT WE LOVE YOU>>>>THANKS FOR EVERYTHING...SEE YOU IN 2012!!
Ok the rest of you my carry on.
I was with you until you suggested Mitt Romney was the man.
He told America he saw his father marching through the streets of Detroit with Martin Luther King. After being hard-pressed, his campaign people said this never happend.
Makes you wonder what ELSE Romney was lying about?
We've already got one like that in the White House at this exact moment.
Let me know how you come to like your prison....
My sentiments exactly! Vote for Obama! I could not vote for Romney because of his views on immigration! And Iraq! Rally your Latinos, and I will work on my friends and family of European descent! And, by the way, I will keep working on learning Spanish!!!
And they want THIS guy in the White House?
They really ARE a peculiar people.
What shall bulk up the news now that Mittster and Hinckley are no longer current?
The war? The economy? No. No sense attracting attention to these things. They are all caused by the clintons and the liberal media, of course, but it's best not to have anyone try to associate these with any republican presidency.
The other Republican candidates didn't dislike him because of his religion, and you know this is true. People in the senate, including John McCain, have nothing but good things to say about Senators Hatch and Bennett.
The Republican candidates disliked him because he constantly threw mud at them. He tried to buy the American people, but they legitimately rejected him in the election, and not because of his religion.
And lets be honest, even if he was a good candidate, Romney legitimately flip flopped when it was convenient, even more so than Mrs. Clinton, which says a lot. This is undeniable.
Please, all of you, grow up, and stop being so self-righteous.
If you feel so bad, vote for a third party and quit whining.
Now that he has dropped out
McCain, my vote 50% chance
If McCain runs with Huck
McCain/Huck, my vote 0% chance
If he had converted to Catholicism, he'd win by a landslide.
He was the best candidate.
I will vote for Mc"Cane"
I will write-in for Mitt.
Whoever you vote for, McCane should not win UT this election.
The left-wing RINO or The Left-wing Democrat?
Mitt in 2012
He was NOT representing the church
Maybe he can help Bush clear brush.
To Anon 5:21 pm. If Mitt's sons want to enlist they can, if not they don't have to. There is nothing wrong with not serving, it is their choice and there is no dishonor by not choosing to serve. I served 10 years and did 2 tours in Iraq and that doesn't make me any better or worse than other Americans.
Why Rush Limbaugh of course.
I also doubt his religion played a big factor in his defeat. He was competitive in most of the states, he just wasn't consistent on the issues and I think that hurt him most of all.
He was lookin' for an election to steal.
He was in a bind, cause he was way behind,
And he was willin' to cut a deal.
When he came across a Gov'ner
Knawin' on a victory and chewin' hard
Huckabee jumped up on a hickory stump and said,
"Johnny, let me tell you what..."
"I bet you didn't know it but I'm a contender too
and if you care to take a dare, I'll make
a bet with you. Now you ran a good campaign down here,
Romney is toast.
Mitt Romney is a loser.

If our people living in this great country of FREEDOM would just wake up, really open their eyes, and be open-minded, they could see through some of the dirty tricks some of the candidates are doing, and the shallow promises they are making. It's not who sounds the best, or who can fake it, but who
truly wants to make a change for the better in America. It was Mitt Romney, but he's dropped out. I truly look forward to him running again and maybe, just maybe, the bigoted people of the world will see what he can do to heal America and let us be great in the eyes of the world again. I have travel the world extensively and am shocked at the disdain foreigners have for Americans. Could it be because our cowboy President was too bossy and lacked PR?! We need at this time a President who can talk well and LISTEN to the people. McCain & Huckabee don't have what it takes. All I can say is Help!
