doesn't this violate Bush's policy of reducing benefits to returning veterans?

Considering the number of veteans, the numbers, severity, and types of their problems, this added ten grand is not peanuts, or even peanut shells...This pitiful amount is like those thin papery husks around the peanut inside the shell.

Thanks, Demos, for the thought. Just, get real with some significant bucks for some real big problems.

Think, for instance, about the TRAX extension UTA and Draper want to build to replace a bus route nobody rides and at a cost of only $350 million. That includes 40-year operating subsidy.

You can see a referrence to that dead bus route, Draper 346 Fast Bus on page 52 of the Legislature's audit of UTA along with the recommendation that it should be cut to improve the bus system . That is the third worst daytime bus route in UTA's system.

That's just the substantial, firm foundation for a train line that good old conservative Utah can believe in.
