We can't expect an instant return on K-Fes. If he were already a international superstar, we wouldn't have been able to pick him up in the 2nd round. But he's young, big and tall and is very coachable.
General Rule of thumb is it takes a big guy 3-5 years to develop.
The Jazz will continue to work with him on fundamentals during the off-season. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him play most of next season in the D-League as well. Then he would be the equivalent of a college sophomore.
A good comparison might be Andrew Bynum. He averaged 2 pts his first season with the Lakers and Kobe threw a fit when Kupchak wouldn't trade him last year for Kidd. Now, in his third season, Bynum's already a top-15 center and will continue to improve. If we're lucky, Fes may have the same potential.
Maybe fess can play football. Come on folks he isn't that bad. He would make a great ball boy. j/k. Are you kidding. He did pretty well with he minutes he got. Give him a couple years.
