Super Tuesday final hours — Delegate scramble

When we compare the number of people attending Michelle Obama's speech to the number of people attending Hillary Clinton's town hall meeting by satellite it becomes clear that she cannot win the general election let alone the Primary. The article states of Clinton, "With each response, applause filled the Salt Lake City Council Chambers, where about 60 people gathered to hear the candidate speak" while it says of Michelle Obama "After delivering a nearly hourlong speech to some 1,000 supporters, Michelle Obama met with two apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before heading on to campaign stops in Arizona and New Mexico."

It's worst when you consider that Chelsea Clinton spoke a group of 150 in Utah. We don't want Hillary Clinton to be President because we've had it with only two families controlling the White House for as long as they have. Clinton will win a few states but come away as a loser today just like Mitt Romney will win in a few states but leave tonight's race a loser. We don't want the likes of Hillary Clinton or Mitt Romney. If a Republican becomes the President it should be someone like John McCain.

She is a tremendous asset to his campaign. Lawyer, mom, speaker, and up-beat. No longer a secret weapon. She will become a force in her own right.

Big day today. Time to get the munchies out and stare at the maps and find the right tv channel to get up to dates on everything. This is a political junkiies' best day.
How is it going to go? Repubs could settle it if McCain carries NY and CA. Huck needs to carry a couple of southern states to get the vp slot. Mitt needs to do well in a big surprise.

Obama is hot hot hot. But he might be 3 days too late. Peaking at the wrong time. However, the dems won't decide things today. They have a different delegate selection process, implemented long ago to take care of party bosses telling everyone what was what, and so Obama and Hillary will continue the dance no matter what. But that is ok with the dems, it means more media coverage, etc.

Ron Paul? He is the 7% out there. Kind of feel sorry for the guy. He doesn't need cue cards or to dress in blue and hold some child. He just goes out and tells it like he thinks it is. And he is right half the time. Poor guy.

I am a white 36-year-old LDS female- unafilliated politically. I didn't vote for Clinton or Romney as demographic studies say I would. I wasn't influenced by Oprah or by anyone endorsing Obama. My mind was made up long before any of that and my convictions strengthened each time I watched a debate or heard Obama speak.

It is time for a real, grass-roots change in this country and Obama is the one that can do that. He inspires people to change, to get involved, to do their part, to come together with all of their differences to help MAKE a difference. This country needs that- now more than ever.

Vote RON PAUL..

1. He has NEVER voted for a tax increase.

2. He voted against the war in Iraq and would implement a policy of non-intervention

3. He opposes abortion

4. He is absolutely consistent champion of the Constitution!

I never in any world imagined this, but if McCain gets the nomination with that snake-oil-salesman Huckabee as VP, I would vote for Hillary for president.

Please don't go as far as to vote for Hillary. If it comes down to a choice between McCain and Hillary, I will be exercising my right not to vote because I refuse to vote for either one of them.

I am voting Obama today. I am a 34 year old, dovirced single parent convert, of mixed ethnicity. Obama was right, the naysayers and ugliness of the the other candidates is prroof enough for me.

I heard Michelle Obama speak yesterday. She connected squarely with me as a woman, a profesional, a wife, a mother, and as a human being having a very similar (normal) childhood. She attended public schools and had working class parents. I was sold on Barack long ago, but if he wasn't running, I would vote for his wife!!!!!! She was real and authentic. She was honest and she hit the nail right on the head. We need change and we need leadership. Obama is a god send.

Though I'm from Canada, and thus my opinions don't really have much bearing on this whole thing, I can't help but feel my southern neighbors are missing something important. Something which isn't frequently mention during the presidential debates and speeches. I am of course referring to the Multi-Trillion Dollar debt!

America owes more money then most countries gross national product! I don't know if your all just ignoring it because it looks bad, or if your ignoring it because you don't think it can be fixed. Either way, that should be a subject in the forefront of your thoughts this election. If it comes back to bite you it will result in the fall of your economy, then all these other so called matters of great importance won't matter anymore. I realize that all the other issues on the table do seem important, you really need to set priorites here. It's like a family continually going into debt until they all end up broken and lost! It seems to me that the person you'd want running your country is the one who has had the most business success. Like, I don't know Rommney.

To Arlin Fehr: you are right about the debt. It is a millstone around our necks, and will be for a long long time. SOP will not cure it. It will take a leader who can stand up and not be bought and sold by the process. Bush has been running a war off the books. The budget for the war is not in our official budget. Go figure, for a republican. yee gads. And now we have a proposed Bush tax cut? Tax cut? For what reason? It is embarassing. I like Obama because he is not of any ilk. He has not cast his lot with anyone about the monetary crisis that is already here. Thus I find him refreshing and he is the hope. The older politicians will not do the changes that are necessary.

No matter who is elected, the job will be awful. And they can thank George Bush and his cronies and political lap dogs for that. I pity the next president, no matter who it is.

Obama will take a large majority of Utah's democratic delegates today. If he can beat Clinton, and if McCain wins the Republican nomination, I believe that Obama could take Utah in the general election.

For those who are keeping tabs: I'm a 35-year-old Mormon male supporting Obama. And yes, he has my vote over Romney should the two meet next November.

Enough cosmetics. Look at issues and voting record. Obama is rated the most liberal in the Senate. He is also for abolishing a states right to regulate concealed weapons. And the list goes on....

Russ, I don't really think that Obama is really qualified for the job right now. No Democrat is for that matter.

We need a strong Republican that will work hard for his country. One that is strong on ethics and values. One that will fix the economy problems. One that will be strong on immigration, and foreign policy. No Democrat will be able to fill this role. They are too liberal to focus on the values and morals that will keep this country great. Their plans for the war in Iraq are brainless at best. I don't think they will fix the government, and I for sure don't want another Bill Clinton in the White House.

Mitt Romney has what it takes. He will bring the change necessary to America, without changing things that make America great. He will make headway in fixing the economy. He has shown that he doesn't let the media's critisism affect him. He stands strong. McCain seems too much like a weasle to me. I don't know... Does anybody else feel that way? He is just sarcastic and defensive.

I'm a Mitt supporter and I'm glad MITT's got UTAH wrapped up, but he doesn't have a chance against McCain for the republican nomination. But I also don't think the Republican's have a chance anyway this year so it doesn't really matter. The American people are going to hold the incumbent (Republican) party responsible for the misguided war and the messed up economy.

Since I don't see any way Mitt gets the republican nomination, my vote for Obama today is a vote against 4 more years of the Clinton's. I don't like McCain, but anything is better than Billery back in the White House.

Ms. Obama: "set aside fear and cynicism..."

No way would I vote for a candidate who's surrogate would label me as fearful and a cynic.

I agree with Dave in SO CAL.....I voted Romney today but it doesn't matter who the Republican candidate is, the Democrats have the general election wrapped up. I am conservative on some issues, liberal on others. I'll be changing to Independent after this election.

I absolutely LOVE what happened to Romney in West Virginia. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! If there are any other states that use the convention/caucus process I hope they'll follow suit.

Say NO to Romney. Say no to having an insincere, plastic, bot in the race.
