did West Virginia.

Mitt Romney raised the capital gains tax, legislated gay civil unions, funded the state's commission on gay youth, and denied the Boy Scouts from participating in the Winter Games.
I could go on and on. Bottom line: Mike Huckabee didn't!
Oh, and Goerge Romney walked out on Goldwater's convention speech.

It does not matter about the republicans. My reading and heeding says that
democrats have the edge everywhere important. Obama is like a cold nice breeze
on a hot day. Hillary has her act together. And, if one of them falls, Edwards

I just heard about the manipulation of WV and that McCains people teamed up with
Huckabee. These idiots who are vying for VP, how many VP's ever become a
president? As for me, it took months for me to decide on Romney, but it has
taken me a couple of days to know that I would rather have Obama or Hilery than
McCain, and more so if he has Huck as his VP. I would rather hear Hilery's
screeching laugh for four years than to have those two foolish liberals that act
like 2nd graders on the playground. One thing is for sure, conservative people
are a dying breed.

just got back from the polls, in an LDS Stake, they automatically handed me the
Republican card, did not ask me how I wanted to vote, just assumed -- Well I
took care of that I voted for MCCAIN since it has been stated he is a democrat

Ron Paul does NOT have what it takes to run the country. I picture him whining in the White House and that would make me sick. He focuses too much on complaining about the past and has yet to show a way to take care of things. He might as well be democratic. He just wants to end the war without obviously thinking of the consequenses.
Same problem with the rest of the Democrats. They will work to end the war as soon as possible and send the troops home, and if that day comes that they do that without finishing the job... it will be sad.

Reading these comments is pretty distateful. It is truly amazing to me the
amount of hatred and bitternes that comes out of these comments. Unsure who to
vote for, I have done a LOT of reading, research and analysis. Several things
are clear to me:
1. McCain, Romney and Huckabee are all good men. ANY of them is going to be better than Hillary or Obama.
2. The amount of hatred coming from this website (and others) shows someone has a lot of fear. Fear is easier to promote than facts. Why should we be afraid of Romney's religion - isn't it the same as Harry Reids? We don't have to join it. Lets stick to the issues and cut the bigotry.
3. The news media has been VERY easy on McCain - why? They hate conservatives. He is obviously their candidate of choice. That makes me wary.

I admire Mc Cain for his service to our Country he went through a lot as a
prisenor and deserves a lot of credit for that.He has however worried me since
being defeated by Bush in the last Primary.I believe what he has done since then
is frightning,He has opposed Bush on many of the issues that were meant to
protect the United States Like Gutomino Bay, The Prison in Iraq.The Tax cut his
temper is Dangerous haveing control of our Military he will become the most
powerfull man in the World.Hope he can keep his tempor under control He did

Mitt! Unforunately with the dems in the equation I fear a real conservative will

James, I think McCain is the best qualified, and the most experienced Republican
candidate. I don't agree with him but I wouldn't have a problem with
him winning as a Democrat and could even vote for him in November under certain
circumstances. It is men like Obama and McCain who think about specific
legislation that comes before them instead of only voting based on partisanship
that ultimately make this country a better place while those who vote ,like
Romney and the many others in this country, based on partisanship and don't
have an understanding of the legislation itself.
Second, I don't think someone who lies and who changes their position on the issues based on the election they are in is the "finest candidate" in decades.
Finally, it's become obvious that Romney isn't going to win. As of now Romney has won one state and is leading in only one. This is out of 15 of the 20 possible states who are holding Republican primaries. The last ones are Arizona, California, Colorado, North Dakota, and Utah. It is likely that Romney will pick up Utah and Colorado yet he would have to do really well in California to win.

The Absolute Truth, McCain and Obama are the kind of men who can lead, who can
work in a bipartisan manner and can unite this country. Obama and McCain will
not always agree with members of the opposite political party but they can and
will work across the aisle to get things done. This is something that upsets

John McCain is not capable of defeating Hillary or Obama in November. Hopefully

So I, an unaffiliated voter who votes his conscience rather than a party, showed
up to vote tonight. The person at the table informed me that I was
unaffiliated, to which I replied "I know." That same person was
already opening a Republican registration form for me to fill out and telling me
I'd need to affiliate with the Republicans to vote in the Primaries. I
replied that I wanted to vote Democrat. The look of shock on that person's
face was cartoonishly comical! Imagine, a devout Mormon voting for a Democrat!
It was almost scandalous in my little community. I'm sure word has spread
throughout the town already.

Evangelicals want a conservative government. Huckabee didn't cut it, took
votes from Romney and now they have shot their own foot because they can't
see past the Mormon thing. Now Dr. Dobson revered by evangelicals and Mormons

McCain didn't beat Romney - Huckabee allowed McCain to beat Romney by
staying in the race and splitting the conservative votes with Romney. Whether
Huck is rewarded with the position of VP or not he probably feels like he did
his duty by keeping the Mormon out. It may rile most Mormons but as a political
strategy you have to admit it was pretty darn smart. The combination of Rudy
getting out and Huck staying in doomed Mitt and his 35 million. Smart, smart,
smart. Face it - us *4.5 million Mormons will never get any respect. (*I think

I listened to Mitt's speech tonight talking about all of he things that the
government didn't do. Who has been in charge for 7 years in Washington.
He was running against his won party! The Republicans had their chance, and
brought us war, budget deficits off the chart, corruption, undermining of our
constitutional rights and freedoms, torture, and the loss of our role as the
moral leader of the planet. W and Cheney brought this country to an
unimaginable low point. The American people will bring change. The fractured
Republican party will pay the price.

WOW... McCain's lies paid off! Now he will accept Huckabee as his running
mate (Huck was only in to steal votes from Romney and assure McCain the
nomination). And UTAH will vote for Barack Obama in the next election!!!
The McCain-Huckabee bigot ticket won't work in Utah, maybe Idaho, California... To win the republican nomination, they have alientated the reliable mormon republicans. Huckabee's antics opened the eyes of Mormons who didn't know better.

When one says they are against "gay rights," what does that mean exactly? Does it mean that gay people, most likely genetically chosen, have no rights under this thing, this short paper called the Constitution? Where does it say that? Huh? And the same about gay marriages? No federal law? Huh? And what happens if two gay people, human beings, yes even in the Mormon community, say they are "married." Do they get fined? Whipped? Told they cannot buy a house? Do they get jail time? How about a scarlet letter on the forehead? BIG G. Maybe forced to wear... purple? My grandmother wore purple. Opps. I always wondered about her.
When we rush to deny freedom to others because they do not think, act, or behave like us, we diminish our freedom as well. If a gay couple live down the street from me, does that diminish me? Take gasoline out of my car? Make my children grow horns or something? My rights stop at the nose of my fellow citizens. And vice-versa. There is an old adage: live and let live.
It is the basis of our freedom. Really.
