IN FACT, you are no mitt romney"
have a super tuesday..
Why, you ask? BECAUSE WEST VIRGINIA VOTES FOR CONSERVATIVES!
Mitt Romney raised the capital gains tax, legislated gay civil unions, funded the state's commission on gay youth, and denied the Boy Scouts from participating in the Winter Games.
I could go on and on. Bottom line: Mike Huckabee didn't!
Oh, and Goerge Romney walked out on Goldwater's convention speech.
CONSERVATIVES RULE!
Doubling up on your prozac is perfectly acceptable today. I think you'll need it to take the edge off all that anger.
Let me state this again for all of you who can't get the above skipping record out of your heads:
WE REALLY DON'T LIKE ROMNEY. WE DON'T LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE IS NOTHING BUT A PANDERER IN AN EXPENSIVE SUIT. HE PANDERED TO LIBERALS WHEN HE RAN FOR GOVERNOR OF MA, AND NOW HE PANDERS TO CONSERVATIVES WHILE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. HE IS PLASTIC. HE IS ROBOTIC. HE IS INSINCERE.
That is why we dislike Romney so much. Oh, and PS: I happen to be a MORMON too!
Not so for the elephants. They are still poking each other in the eye, and throwing chairs. Tonight will probably be an eye-opener for the public. Someone is going to get a time-out and sent to their room.
West Virginians are and have been political morons.
I want to see a McCain / Huckabee ticket because a democratic Hillary or Obama victory (McCain / Huckabee are as lame as Bob Dole) would set up another conservative revolution.
re:West Virginian's aren't alone: Who is McCain? If a war hero who sold out US Milatary Air Routes which got soilders killed to get out of Vietnam decides to run as a Republican after sending his representatives over to investigate switching to the Democratic Party, at least he is a sincere liar.
I am very much looking forward to a Democratic presidency with a Democratic Congress to get a real Republican President.
Any questions why Obama is the best person to be president?
Every year the Jazz go in the draft after the best "athlete", or ballplayer, not after the position the need.
I'm thinking that is the way we need to look at this election.
Doesn't matter the party, go after the best person.
Ron Paul does NOT have what it takes to run the country. I picture him whining in the White House and that would make me sick. He focuses too much on complaining about the past and has yet to show a way to take care of things. He might as well be democratic. He just wants to end the war without obviously thinking of the consequenses.
Same problem with the rest of the Democrats. They will work to end the war as soon as possible and send the troops home, and if that day comes that they do that without finishing the job... it will be sad.
1. McCain, Romney and Huckabee are all good men. ANY of them is going to be better than Hillary or Obama.
2. The amount of hatred coming from this website (and others) shows someone has a lot of fear. Fear is easier to promote than facts. Why should we be afraid of Romney's religion - isn't it the same as Harry Reids? We don't have to join it. Lets stick to the issues and cut the bigotry.
3. The news media has been VERY easy on McCain - why? They hate conservatives. He is obviously their candidate of choice. That makes me wary.
4. I have always been concerned about the safety of the borders and of this country. Isn't McCain's position on illegal immigration counter to that?
5. All of the discussion about who is the "true conservative" is silly. These labels mean nothing. Let's stick to the issues.
A see many of you are listening to Rush. Rush evaded the draft. Maybe, this is why he hates veterans. They made him realize he has never sacrificed for our nation.
Some people lead. Other people are destined to follow. Rush told his sheep to vote for Bush. Bush has ruined the Republican Party. You followers: keep on keeping on. Don't adapt or evolve.
When Mitt looses after wasting all that money. He's a great businessman. Ya...right! Mitt and his adherents can blame bigots. It wasn't Mitt's propensity to lie. The voters hate Mormons.
I'm LDS and I live in California. No one care one way or another what church my family belong to. Reading the Deseret News as shown me, I have nothing in common with the Mormon culture of meanness and victimization. Life's is too wonderful and short to cry your way through it.
You can't win with only conservatives. Do the math.
Many Conservatives will abandon him in the general election.as well as the national Press. He and Huckabee has banded together which will likely give the election to Mc Cain.Looks like we will have to suffer the result. The Econamy dont look good Hope Mc Cain can handle it.I Love this Country and will Pray for the best.
Romney is the finest candidate that we have had run in decades. His ecpertise regarding the economy is necessary at this time of economic chaos. His amazing family and strong values are just extras. Romney is against amnesty, unlike McCain who heralds in amnesty. Romney has proved to be a genius regarding health care and has solid policies regarding Iraq. I will support Romney all of the way to the white house.
ROMNEY '08
Second, I don't think someone who lies and who changes their position on the issues based on the election they are in is the "finest candidate" in decades.
Finally, it's become obvious that Romney isn't going to win. As of now Romney has won one state and is leading in only one. This is out of 15 of the 20 possible states who are holding Republican primaries. The last ones are Arizona, California, Colorado, North Dakota, and Utah. It is likely that Romney will pick up Utah and Colorado yet he would have to do really well in California to win.
The majority of people support Romney and Clinton wouldn't even take the time to read a bill that is before Congress before speaking about it. This is something Obama wants and can change. His position on transparency and participation in government is enough for me to vote for him even if he was a Republican. Some Democrats will criticize Obama for being conservative just like some Republicans will criticize McCain for being liberal but the one thing both of these men have in common is their ability to actually read legislation and make decisions based on what they read. Romney can't do this and neither can Clinton. A Romney or Clinton presidency would need their party to control Congress for them to get anything done. This isn't true of McCain and Obama.
Hmmm.... Mormon populated states vote Mitt; Black populated states vote Obama; Southern baptist bigot states vote Huckabee; Liberal-republican states vote McCain; everywhere else votes Hillary. Hillary will win.
The Democrats don't seem to have a problem with Harry Reid, the highest ranking Democrat in the Senate, being a Mormon. It is only the right-wing religious zealots of the Republican party that use religion as a litmus test.
WoW! Spoken like a true bigot!
I think Mitt's Mormonism would have been less of an issue if he had run as a Democrate like he really is.
BAH, BAH, BAH.
The Wool of the LDS people makes very poor MITTens.
The PERCENTAGE of LDS in California is a paltry 2 percent - the actual number doesn't matter.
The McCain-Huckabee bigot ticket won't work in Utah, maybe Idaho, California... To win the republican nomination, they have alientated the reliable mormon republicans. Huckabee's antics opened the eyes of Mormons who didn't know better.
Favorite Huckabee Quote: "I don't think people should not vote for Romney because he is a Mormon, just like they shouldn't eleminate me because I am Christian--(i.e. warning southern baptists, Mormon and Christian two different things...Mitt=not christian!!!)"
Looks like Gov. Huntsman can pick a winner after all. Not all mormons are Romney-bots.

When one says they are against "gay rights," what does that mean exactly? Does it mean that gay people, most likely genetically chosen, have no rights under this thing, this short paper called the Constitution? Where does it say that? Huh? And the same about gay marriages? No federal law? Huh? And what happens if two gay people, human beings, yes even in the Mormon community, say they are "married." Do they get fined? Whipped? Told they cannot buy a house? Do they get jail time? How about a scarlet letter on the forehead? BIG G. Maybe forced to wear... purple? My grandmother wore purple. Opps. I always wondered about her.
When we rush to deny freedom to others because they do not think, act, or behave like us, we diminish our freedom as well. If a gay couple live down the street from me, does that diminish me? Take gasoline out of my car? Make my children grow horns or something? My rights stop at the nose of my fellow citizens. And vice-versa. There is an old adage: live and let live.
It is the basis of our freedom. Really.
