Watching the funeral on the internet in one of the worlds most northern branches of the Church, we felt the spirit of this great man warm our hearts and fill us with love. The desire to serve harder and the faith that all will turn out right is in our souls. Thank you President Hinkley for a life well lived. The saints in Troms, Norway.

My son and I watched the proceedings on BYU TV and were profoundly touched by this event. I can't recall in all my years in the church when this kind of outpouring took place. They were both solemn and yet touched by his humor. I'm sure he was there with Majorie by his side laughing with us. I know for me, it gave me purpose to improve my life a little more and to stand taller. My father had a saying that he used at a funeral. Never say good-bye, say I'll see you. He was right and to that we say to President Hinckley, "we'll see you".

By watching Pres. Hinkley's services this morning it was very evident that he was a humble man with much to offer many. That he was dedicated to his faith and judged no one. What a great example for the world and church members alike. An ispiration to be the best we can in all areas of our lives. He will be missed!

After we all accepted President Hinckley's invitation to read the Book of Mormon before the end of the year, I've wanted him to again invite us to all do something challenging together. It was so fun, uniting and uplifting and we reaped the promised blessings. Since his passing, I've prayed that President Monson or Eyring would challenge us to do something like that again, together, church wide, world wide to honor his memory. I didn't know what it would be, but as I watched the funeral and wept, I realized that thing would be that we all be better, stand taller, stand strong and immovable for that which is correct and proper... wear out our lives in the service of Heavenly Father as he did... rise early, work hard, stand for something.
I thought he would live into his 100's and was so surprised that he left so "soon". However, I am ready to love and support the next president and prophet while I strive to stand stronger in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I live and serve in a branch that is the furtherest away from SLC that any other branch. We were not privileged to have Pre. Hinkley's Funeral shown on TV here, I was though, privileged to read about the funeral online and felt the spirit strongly as i read about the good man and his humour, his dedication to serving the Lord, his love for his family and his fellow being.
I so wish I could have witnessed the waiving of the white handkerchief and cane. such a simple gesture yet very loving to such a great man who will always be remembered.
I say Thank You from the bottom of my heart to him.

How much I've enjoyed this week reading the
scriptures and participating in a very small way
to furthering the church by"blogging". I've never
none it before however I've received such great strength and peace by both reading the messages of Saints from around the States and abroad all unitedby our unfying faith, love, and hope for today and for tomorow. Let's be better "peacemakers" im our daily lives and "walk the walk and talk the talk". Let's make Pres Hinkley and our soon-to-be
president and counselors proud as we stand for what istrue and right is my humble prayer.

I had the opportunity to view the funeral on-line. It was truly a wonderful tribute to President Hinckley's life and legacy. I feel blessed to be counted amongst the Saints in mourning his loss, while at the same time celebrating the knowledge that he now lives on the other side, with his wife, family and the prophets of old. I echo the words of President Monson--God be with you, President Hinckley, till we meet again.....

I watched the funeral on TV and I just can't say enough. He was such a beautiful human being. We were so blessed to have such a wonderful man here on this earth. Pres. Hinckley, I miss you already. I miss seeing you and your wife walking side-by-side. Complementing eachother. I'm so glad to have had you both in all our lives. You made all of us feel so loved. God bless you and your family. Thank you for everything. You meant the world to so many people.

Thank you President Hinckley for teaching me to face life with humour and optimism. I watched the funeral on BYU tv over the net. It was very moving. What a legacy he has left us. God Be With You President and Sister Hinckley. I'll never forget you. You fought the good fight right to the end now you can continue to serve with your beloved at your side once more.

My wife and I watched the Services over the Internet this morning. The local Cable did not carry it. I diden't want to go to the Stake Center. So we got the KSL feed and then the BYU Broadcasting International Feed. I watched the whole life story part afterward. Just got finished. Before I get started with the rest of my day. I just wanted to say I Loved Him. The Family A Proclamation To The World hangs on our wall. My wife has been a member all her life and when I met her in 1987 she reintroduced me to the Church. I have been a member sence April 6, 1988. I was Married and Baptized in the same evening. 14 months later My wife and I where Married and Sealed in the Mesa Az. Temple. I served two Stake Missions and worked in the Las Vegas Temple. Now from a Small Ward on the West End of the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. We remain active and do our best. I just today want to say I Love Him. I saw him when he came to a BYUH Graduation and I will not ever forget that afternoon.

As Americans in Paris, we were able to watch the funeral proceedings live from our living room, over the internet. We waved our white handkerchiefs from here. We have been so blessed to have President Hinckley as prophet to our 6 children in their youths! We love his testimony, enthusiasm, optimism, wit, leadership, and example. We are thankful that we could (almost) be there.

President Hinckley was such a great man. I never met him face to face, but was priveledged to see him speak back in 1995. He was a great and wonderful man and he will be missed. I cannot believe he is gone, but I know that we all can and will see him again someday. What a joyous occasion it must have been up in heaven when he met with his beloved Marjorie again, and what an even more joyous occasion it must have been when he met the Prophet Joseph Smith as well.

We will miss you dearly President Gordon B.
Hinckley.

What a wonderful funeral and tribute to our dear Prophet and his family. I am so grateful for the power of the internet that could bring us in San Francisco into the Conference Center and feel like we were participating in a very personal way. I love President Hinckley and will continue to honor his memory as I support and love our next Prophet.

As I watch a rebroadcast of the services. I feel a wonderful sense of the spirit within me. My life has changed so much since joining the church, and Pres. Hinkley was a big part of that change. The Family Proclamation is read weekly in our home and we reflect on those wonderful words.
Thank You for your Years of Service President Hinkley. God Be With you Till We Meet again.

As I sat in our meetinghouse in Wichita, KS, My heart was overflowing with love and gratitude for our beloved Prophet. My boys, ages 5 and 2 1/2 were also in attendance. Before leaving when I had mentioned to our youngest that we were going to the funeral for the Prophet, he instinctively without prompting went and got his book about the Prophet Joseph Smith. He handed it to me to put in his bag and said, "Prophet". How wonderful to know that even at his young age he knows and understands the things of the gospel inspite of his many physical and mental challenges. He is "My Prophet" and I will miss him dearly. I am filled with a renewed sense of a call to action, responsibility and duty. It has filled my soul and I cannot deny it. May we all have a renewed sense of faith and duty is my prayer. In the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN.

We went to the broadcast at the church and really loved it. So blessed to be able to be apart of it from so far away. (PA) I was amazed they showed the procession & even the dedication of the grave. My children really enjoyed the video summary of his life. We laughed about the paperclips on the way home :) I was touched & choked up by the people on the street corners waving & lining the way for the prophet. What an incredible man & prophet. I will *miss* seeing him at conference!

I am a convert and I was not active in church until the 1995. As a new convert, I used to wonder at people who spoke of love for the prophet. As I have heard him speak and seen his example, I know that he is truly a Man of God and he was a true prophet of the Lord on this Earth. Through his example of love for all, I learned to accept the atonement for myself.I learned what it is to love him and I will miss him truly. I cannot read a word of any of his discourses without hearing it in his voice in my mind. I was honored to be able view his funeral at our chapel.Thank you President Hinkley for your life in the service of your Lord.

Gordon B. Hinckley showed by Example how to live a Better Life.

The funeral service, with all those who participated, was a Great Inspiration.

His main Goal was to lift others Up. By so doing he himself was lifted up in the eyes of so many.

"Do What is Right, let the consequences follow."
"Do Unto Others What...."

He lived on those High Standards in Word and Deed.

I'm sure he will get an A++ for his Turn On Earth.

As I was watching the funeral service for President Hinckley today, I thought back to the time he came to California for a conference in our area and to be able to be in the same building as he was, there is no words to describe that day except it was a great privilage to be in the presence of a prophet and to feel of his spirit.

I worked for Zions Securities Corporation which lookes over LDS church properties, and buildings. I never met Pres. Hinckley, but I can say I have walked on hallow ground where Pres. Hinckley lived. I have never felt the spirit so strong as I did when I walked into his residence. I know he was and is a Prophet of God. I will support the next Prophet just as I did Pres. Hinckley. I will miss Brother and Sister Hinckley and the great love they showed, but am thrilled that they are working on the other side, and hopefully some of my relatives that have passes on will enjoy them; just I did here in mortality.

His joy must be overwhelming to be back home and with his wife again, but I will miss him here on this earth. He has made me want to be a much, much better person.
I am grateful beyond words to be a member of this True gospel and to of been lead by such a rightous man.

President Hinckley loved all mankind. I felt that love everytime I heard him speak. As I felt saddened to hear of his passing this last Sunday, I realized that the love that I felt from him is the love of God. Charity. The pure love of Christ.

That love/charity will continue on, despite our dear prophet passing on for now. I hope we can all try to emulate that same love-- this would truly honor his legacy.

President Hinckley has been my hero for years. He put out the call for all of us to stretch ourselves and become a better people, especially the youth preparing for missions. He signed my four boys mission call papers. Those missions blessed and enriched those boy's lives as nothing else could. Year, and years ago Gorden B. Hinckley was assigned to visit the mission and missionaries in Korea. My husband, a young missionary, met and visited with him. Then years later my husband met him again and President Hinckley called my husband by name. I sat mesmerized in front of my TV watching the funeral and program of his life. His prophetic words have always resonated to my soul throughout these years. I am so grateful for him,and his inspired leadership. I am renewed in my faith, optimism, and duty to God. It's such an extraordinary blessing to have living prophets. Wow! If only everyone knew.

What a wonderful funeral service. We are so happy for him, he has dearly missed his wife. I cannot imagine carrying the burden he has without a spouse. We love you and we will miss you but will always remember your example. You have encouraged us all to be better people. Thank you.

President Hinckley was a genuine man, all too often rare in one having his considerable leadership abilities. My memories will be of his warmth and humanity, as I didn't perceive him as a spiritual or doctrinal leader primarily or in the academic sense. Interestingly enough, President Monson strikes me in much the same way. I've had the privilege of hearing both speak at length in close settings: President Hinckley in the Los Angeles Temple, and President Monson in the Massachusetts Boston Stake Center. President Monson's arrival, very late due to flight delays, was sudden and unannounced, yet the entire priesthood body assembled were swept to their feet. The experience was unforgettable and reminded me of the stories of the Kirtland temple dedication. He is a most worthy successor to President Hinckley.

i and my mom and little sisters watching the funeral on BYU, and felt the spirit strongly. President Hinckley was such a great man. I'm so glad that he and his Marjorie Pay are together once again, it is a bitter sweet thought but im happy to know that he is at peace. Im doing a report over President Hickley at my school. Im kinda nervous but also excited, i think President Hinckley would be proud.
