This sounds very strange. Are we sure that these girls are telling the truth? The three of them, probably typical for 14 year olds, could not outwit or outrun a 56 year old man? Why would they have gone into a strangers house? I think there is a great deal more to this story, and I think it has something to do with them not wanting to get into trouble for being truant. But I could be wrong.

This was quite funny....and disturbing. Hiding from a police car to play hooky? Why would three teens follow a man into his house, one they do not know? This whole thing doesn't make sense.

These truants hopefully are going to be scared straight into staying at school next time.

What would a 58 year old man have on his mind when he makes 3 14 year old girls go in his house against there will???? i say he had alternative motives.

Take a Bite Out of Crime | 7:08 p.m. Feb. 2, 2008
I wonder if the man had a McGruff sign in his window. Do they still have those? I remember growing up in the eighties and if you were trying to run for shelter you were supposed to run into a McGruff house.

It's about time someone helped get these girls off the streets. Take a bite out of crime!!!

I hope this guy is honored for the Good Samaritan that he was. He acted quickly and courageously. Mad props for Mr. McGruff.
