Thank you for this excellent article. I would be curious to know where the growth in engineering graduates occurred, i.e. what institutions and in what disciplines. Also, where are the shortages?

I work in the field of finding employment for all of our graduates at the University of Utah and it would be helpful to know which industries are having difficulty in finding engineers. Are the shortages for new graduates, experienced graduates or both? I have noticed some departments whose graduates have increased notably and I also believe there has not been much or any growth in our chemical engineering department.

Do we know in which disciplines the funds will be used and do we know whether these are the areas of greatest need? I am interested in our being able to meet the State's needs for graduates in the areas where there is good demand and I am interested in the graduates being able to find good jobs when they graduate.
Thank you!

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
