In a world so short of positive examples, President Hinckley stood as a
spiritual giant. A living, real life hero who didn't need super powers.
His strength came from his faith and his good works. Regardless of a
person's religious convictions his example was one anyone could look up to,
he was a man of integrity, a man of compassion for others, a man with leadership
qualities, who was humble, a man who could laugh at himself and who made others
around him feel comfortable. A man who truly loved all as his brothers and
sisters regardless of color or culture. It is not good-bye only until we meet
again. Though we are grieving the loss of this wonderful man, we too are
rejoicing that through your example there are still people in this darkened
world we can look up to; and from your example other men of integrity will grow.
We may shed a tear or two, but remember the joy on the other side of the veil
of his coming home. Thank you President Hinckley for your service to mankind.

When I was young I had the opertuneity to meet President Hinkly for Halloween
evening at his home. Me invited me and my 2 brothers and my dad for Oreos and
Milk it was a great expierince meeting him. I am devistated that he died but he
will always bring back memories when you here the sentence "Church of Jesus
Christ of Later Day Saints.

He that receiveth a prophet receiveth a prophet's reward. Pres Hinckley
would be the first to admit that his strength was from the Lord. This is the
Lord's church it is not Pres Hinckley's church just as Harold B. Lee
said this same thing and each time a Prophet (1 of the 15) has passed away it
felt as though a giant Redwood had fallen. This is the example they share as
they draw on the Lord's strength to magnify them in their office as each of
us are to do in our individual assignments. Be assured the 16th prophet will be
just as powerful in influence! That he is well prepared and will soon bless the
church and the world in a unique way never felt before as each prophet of the
Lord has done previously. This is the testimony of this work and the love we all
have for the prophet and attests to the power of the spirit of the Lord in our
lives. That is what is remarkable about this marvelous work and a wonder as it
reflects so well the spirit of Jesus Christ--the Greatest of all!

I will always remember how firm and steadfast he was in doing what's right.
He never wavered from what he knew to be right. I loved his simple truths such
as; be a little kinder, and stand a little taller. What a great example! He
will be missed.

Imagine the reunion! His sweetheart and all the previous Prophets! And of
course our Savior saying "Well done my faithful servant". His
stewardship was amazing. Such an example to all of us of untiring service and

WE THANK THE O GOD FOR A PROPHET! What an amazing man, life and Prophet. I am
gratedul to have been born in this time to have known such a wonderful man,

All day I have been reflecting on the impact and influence President Hinckley
has had on my life. I know that he was a prophet of God. He will be dearly

What a great example and a faithful, humble servant of the Lord! I loved your
sense of humor and your positive outlook. You led the Church so well and did so
well connecting with the media. I'm sure you are having a joyous reunion

We Thank thee oh God for a Prophet to guide us in these later days!! I will
forever remember the feeling that came over me as President Hinckley entered the
same room I was in..oh what a Prophet of God he truly is! I am so thankful to
have this gospel and understanding that some day..I too can walk with him, and
talk with him. We are so blessed to KNOW this!! My thoughts and prayers are with
the Hinckley Family, may they find comfort in the loss of our so deeply loved,
dedicated servant of our Lord.

The burden of running God's true Church here on Earth has finally been
lifted off President Hinckley's blessed shoulders. To be reunited with
Marjorie is a wonderful thing for the Prophet. President Hinckley has been the
Prophet since before I was born. I was beginning to believe he would live
forever.

discouraged I felt like he was talking to me and I sensed some of what he felt,
because he was feeling discouraged at the end of a hard day but after pondering
and praying he felt different, couragous. thank you.

I don't regard myself a member of any religion, which includes LDS, and
perhaps never will. But I have seen this man, have my picture taken with him and
his wife, just the 3 of us, and have felt of his of genuine love of people,
which particularly he was drawn to the Asians, which I am.
And although, I may not agree with all he had said, I will miss his humanity, his acceptance to all sects, race and creed.
There are many religious leaders, that speaks of acceptance, which includes LDS leaders, but I truly feel that he sets the true example of living his own teachings, by loving them with true intent and, most of all, real action.

believe that you have left us for a time. We are forever grateful for everything
that you have personally given to this world. We will miss your wonderful sense

The President Hincley, was one prophet very beloved, in latters days, my
family and I the listen and we saw, in one conference in
Culiac�n, Sin., M�xico en 1998. After
also in other time in the dedication of temple Guadalajara, Mexico. For we has

I will miss him greatly. I remember him making a comment in the last conference
in reference to that being his last conference. I think he was saying goodbye to
all that was what I thought as he made that comment, he truly is a prophet of
God. I am glad that he will be back in the arms of his loved ones.

The President Hincley, has been a beloved prophet in the last days, my family
and I saw and heard, at a conference in Culiacan, Sin. Mexico in 1998. Also in
another occasion in the dedication of the temple in Guadalajara, Mexico. For us
has been wonderful to receive from Him the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ, He will live forever in our hearts.

I am saddened that President Hinckley did not tarry with us just another 3
years. I am sure he would have thoroughly enjoyed being the first centenarian
prophet in modern times. Of course, back in Bible days, a 100 year old was just
a young whipper snapper. Times have indeed changed, and the 100 year mark is a
rare accomplishment nowadays. Farewell, President Hinckley. Scoring 97 out of
100 is good enough.

I wish to thank the Hinckley Family for their sacrifice of time with their Dad.
He was truly a remarkable leader. We all loved him so much. It seemed he was our
leader for many more years because he was often alone on the stand at conference
taking over the duties of the other members of the Presidencies under which he
served who were older men.His life stands as a great example of how to be a
fearless missionary and spokesperson for Christ. Thank you again and again for
your selfless life of service President Hinckley!

What a great man. Truly a representative of Christ. We are so blessed to be
able to have him as the prophet during our lifetime. I'm happy that he is
finally able to take a rest from this troubled world but am sure he continues
the Lord's work along with his wife, friends and prophets modern and of
old. Most of all, I'm happy he is with Father in Heaven. What a great
reunion.

I will miss his cane waving and joke telling. I feel like many of you have
mentioned. It is like my grandfather just died. He had that ability to connect
with the average person and let them know that he loved them. I am looking

him as the Temple building Prophet.

We loved our Prophet President Hinckley. He was such a great Father to us all. I
know he is with his wife and I bet all the past Prophets came to Welcome him
home, to be with them and rejoice together, with the LORD Jesus Christ. Well

I loved that joke you told in the old tabernacle when it was warm and you said
"It will get a lot warmer if you don't repent!" You had such an

It's not easy to trust claims about a man most only felt they knew but
really didn't, but who so gracefully discharged an office weighted with
expectations of divine revelation and oracular vision. Could it be that under
that burden President Hinckley's greatest repeated insight and caution was
not to take ourselves so seriously that we lose our common humanity to the idol
of self-importance? Thank you for demonstrating that truth in so many
meaningful ways. I will try to remember. . .

Tears of sorrow for the lonely void we feel, knowing that such a chosen son of
our Heavenly Father has passed from this mortal existence--immediately followed
by tears of joy brought from the Spirit comforting us with the knowledge that
our dear, sweet Prophet has been reunited with the Savior that he has served so
faithfully. I picture the Lord standing there at the veil, with His arms
extended, welcoming His Prophet home, with President Hinckley's sweet wife
right there, to share in the Lord's embrace.
Thank-you to your wonderful family for sharing you with the rest of us for all of these years.

We love the prophet. He dedicated the Philippines in 1961 that's why he is
so close in our heart. He also dedicated the Manila Philippines Temple.

The impact President Hinkley had on my life is immeasurable. His example, humor,
optimism, and faith have lifted me throughout my life. What is even more
incredible is that he had this kind of impact to millions.

Our tears reflect the sincere gratitude that we feel for Gordon B. Hinkley. His
pure example and love for the Savior, Jesus Christ will live forever in our
hearts. May we all press forward with that same pure love of Christ. Let us

President Hinckley was an amazingly spiritual, caring, and witty leader of this
church. I have a hard time imagining what it will be like without him here to
comfort and guide us as a worldwide family. I am forever thankful for his
leadership. He made me a better person through his gentle and loving guidance.
My prayers go out to his family and close friends and associates. We thank
Thee, oh God, for a Prophet!

I am thankful to have received a most important lesson from President Hinckley
since my conversion in November 2007. My life will never be the same and I will
never forget him although I've known of him for such a short time.

Great Prophet and President of the church he was. Inspiring messages and
counsels. I guess one thing he'll love to let us know is to "Carry on,
