I'll miss you President Hinckley. You did your best and that was more than
enough to inspire people to live better lives and be better Christians. I
appreciate all the hard work you did and I know that you were called of God and
that you were truly inspired. Thanks doesn't cut it but it is the best I
can offer. Thank you. My prayers are with your family.

I'm so proud to see all of President Hinckley's well wishers. It makes
such a sad moment seem less painful to see all of the love out there for this
wonderful man.

The Legand is that The Island Crys when it loses someone she loves. It Rained
last night and the Mountain Winds where strong. We will miss him in Hawaii. He
was/is an outstanding example. He was a Master at doing the Masters Work. I am a
much better person for having listened to him and having watched him. He proved
to me that Application Of Your Faith Can Change Your Life. My Ohana and I will
miss him. Mahalo Good and Faithful Servent. Aloha Oi.

Well done thou good and faithful servant. How great is thy reward for enduring
to the end. And, how great is the reunion with thy eternal companion. May we

I became a member of the Church prior to President Hinckley becoming the
Prophet, but I always felt he was the first one I personally knew, seeing him in
during an 1996 Area Youth Conference in San Diego Ca., held in a cultural hall
gym. It was the first time and only time I had a chance to sing " We Thank
Thee O God For A Prophet" in his presence. That and the meeting will always
mean a lot. And like every active member and hopefully some inactive and
non-members, he leaves a memorable moment for us all, that might strengthen our
resolve to appreciate that we were well cared for by his stewardship. The
passing of a President of the Church never comes easy, but if President Monson
is called to lead, the benefit of s having him in the Presidency is someone who
we know so very well, and I've felt for years will grant a exceptionally
smooth transition from President Hinckley's inspired vision to what will be
asked of President Monson.

As a fairly new convert,I feel blessed to have become a member during Pres.
Hinkley's presidency. He was and is a thoughtful,funny,inspirational and
extremely caring individual who surely has gone on to a much larger leadership
role on the other side. I thank you President Hinkley for your outstanding
service and your wonderful character and modeling. May the love of heaven

President Hinckley made a great impact on my life. I have hanging on my wall a
few paragraphs of the closing remarks he gave at the October General Conference
in 2000 and I have tried to put what he said then into practice ever since. I
will remember him as the great Temple builder of the Church. He helped bring
the Church out of obscurity. The Church will keep growing and will get stronger
still because President Hinckley was at the helm.

President Hinckleys term as Prophet, seer and revelator only confirms that the
Lord has truly reserved the brightest and noblest of his spirit children for
this, the last dispensation. His vigor and zest for living and proclaiming the
gospel has encouraged me personally to live righteously in these wicked and
perilous times when the devil is working double-time to destroy the Lords Work.
His teachings have brought my family closer and united in working towards a
common goal. His writings will always be present on our shelves, bedsides and in
our hearts.

There's no better way to show your love for President Hinckley than to do what he asked.
Get out and stay out of debt. Control your temper. Be kind to EVERYONE around you, regardless of ANY other considerations that might otherwise prevent you from doing so. Be especially good to your spouse and children. Attend the temple regularly. Be a little better every day.
And don't drive like a maniac :)

He was the Prophet to lead us into the the 21st Century. He trained us, led us,
encouraged us, and he finally he loved us. Gordon B left us prepared to take the
next steps without him. He left the church better then he found it

Only fond memories abound as I have pondered the passing of such a great yet
humble disciple of Jesus Christ. Just as he taught us, President Gordon B.
Hinckley lived his life without regrets. In so many ways he simply forgot
himself and went to work - ever true to the direct counsel given him as a young
missionary by his father. What a reunion he is having beyond this veil! Thank
you, President Hinckley for your shining example, your great legacy of faith.

We will miss the twinkle in the eyes, the cute little smite, the charm of this
very special man. But most of all we will miss his example of wisdom, his
thoughtfulness, his devotion to his family, the church and the Savior. How

Pres. Hinckley is a prophet and an inspirational leader and man. We, like many
others, believe that he was chosen and prepared before he was born for his
duties and he fulfilled them marvelously. We believe that his sentiments would
be to "Carry on and go forward in faith' just as he exemplified

The life he lived was incredible. To me, he died with his boots on, on a Sunday,
and even one last church visit. He had a long, healthy life, and a calling
fulfilled in it's fullest.

Yes wonderful President Gordon Hinckey is very speech during general confence.
Very mostly He is good speech everything and his testomiry mostly. I remember
learning from pres. hinckey greater wonder. We love President Hinckey. I never
forget watch during general conference meeting. My kids see it about gospel and
etc. We miss him very much most time his life very strong and faithfully.

I personally never had the opportunity to meet President Hinckley but I have
seen him on television on several occasions and felt of the Holy Ghost penetrate
through him. Now he is with his beloved Marjorie. I can just picture Sister
Hinckley saying something like "What took you so long?" May he and his
family be blessed forever more.

YOu meant so much to me I have fallen from the church along time ago but the
impact you have made in my life Honestly meant more to me then any treasure I
wrote him a letter once and sent it with my Friend who was meeting him through
make a wish foundation it was a 3 page letter Talking to him about all the
things i was struggling with Telling him about my Family Bearing my testimony
Pooring my Heart to him He responded By Adressing it in General Confernce that
same year NOt missing one point in my letter It meant more to me then anything
any one has done to me in my life ive since fallen from the church but still
belief it to be true but i cant live up to the standards But he held a part of
my heart ever since then i cried for 2 hours today when i heard it and the tears
havent stoped flowing i shall miss hearing your jokes and inspritional words.
The impact you make on one person can affect more then a million people so make
it a good one. I know you did

Although I didn't personally know President Hinckley, I feel as if

My wife and I feel the same as you all. We will miss President Hinckley but we
know he is very happy to be with his Majorie. what a great example! I would
recommend reading one of his most influential books "Standing for
Something." Amazing bok written by an amazing man, a inspiring leader and

As an 18 year old, I attended General Conference when President Hinkley was
first sustained as a General Authority. I was later present when he was
sustained as the church Prophet and President. I have followed him through his
years as a General Authority and marveled at how he brought us all closer to the
Lord through his loving example and steady message. I know that I am a better
person because of him. We miss you President Hinkley.
