A nice man...on the surface but was so misled and misled so many people. You that are able to read this...Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords, He alone is the true Son of God and occupies the right side of the throne of His Father. Only in Jesus Christ is true salvation found, only through His blood is there forgiveness of sins. There is no other way in which to be reconciled unto God. Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life and no man comes to the Father but through ME." Today Gordon Hinckley knows the Truth that could have set him free. There is no other way!!! God demonstrated His love to this world through His Son and only through His Son, Jesus Christ. Don't argue with me if you don't agree...its God who ordained His plan of salvation.

What a wonderful man and example of how we should all live. His humble attitude and beautiful words touched the heart of my husband and he made the decision to enter the waters of baptism. We are an eternal family now. He will be missed. Our prayers are with his family and all of the leaders of the church. His earthly voice may be silenced so a time but I take grear comfort in the knowledge of what he may be doing and who is has been reunited with at this time.

His words are so like the Man:

"Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face,
but with great and strong purpose in your heart."

Thank you President Hinckley for living a life that reflected Christ's light in a modern world. We, as a Church, will honor your legacy by sustaining your successor in our thoughts, words, and deeds...we will carry on! You will not be replaced in our hearts but rather we will make more room there and increase our capacities...these are the lessons you taught us. A small man with such a large footprint in life on the strait and narrow path. Our prayers are with your family and friends. Thank you for the love and the sacrifices of time you gave to all of us...we will not mourn but rather celebrate your amazing life.

Joyous! | 6:01 a.m. Jan. 28, 2008
My non-LDS father died the morning of January 27th with his family with him. I know that his entry into the spirit world was a joyous reunion with loved ones and we here on Earth are happy his suffering is over.

Later that day our beloved prophet also passed through the veil and had a reunion with his loved ones.

I can't help but picture this great man rejoicing with and perhaps embracing my dad! I imagine that the missionary effort there will now be directed by one of this earth's greatest missionaries and that my dear dad might now grasp the eternal significance of the Gospel.

Thank-you, President Hinckley for all you have done for us mortals and for the Lord's cause, and now you and my father are both standing a little taller! The tears that run down my cheeks are of joy. What a wonderful day for them both.

We will miss his inspired leadership and the love he extended to this island land. I speak for thousands of saints blessed by this wondereful prophet who dedicated the islands of the Philippines to the Missionary Work almost 50 years ago.

I was sad President Hinkley left our earth but very joyful knowing that he is finally with his beloved wife that he has missed so very much. What a glorious homecoming he surely had. I can't imagine how many people on the other side of the veil were lined up with hugs and kisses to greet our Prophet. We could all hope and pray for such a glorious homecoming as he is having at this moment. God bless his family and each one of us to carry on.

President Hinckley was called into the first presidency only a few months after I was baptized as a convert of 16. It's hard to imagine the church without his steadying presence, but carry on we must. A great man and an unexampled leader, but I am confident the cause of Zion will go onward and upward, thanks in no small measure to the impetus of his tremendous administration. Thank you, President Hinckley, and RIP.

President Hinckley,

I will always be grateful for your persistent emphasis on the pragmatic over the dogmatic. You gave me realistic goals to shoot for rather than reminding me of everything I could be doing. You continually reminded me to focus on improving where it matters most: showing love and kindness to my wife and children always; being tolerant of all people, regardless of their beliefs or persuasions; getting as much education as possible; staying out of debt and living within my means; keeping my temper in check; being willing to forgive quickly.... My family--including my wife who is not of our faith--will miss you greatly. I thank you for your example, your boldness and courage, your sense of humor, your humility, your hope, your leadership, your "human-ness," your love.
Sharon Tallman | 6:35 a.m. Jan. 28, 2008
I loved President Hinckley and am so grateful for his loving and wise guidance as our prophet. How blessed our world has been to have him in it these 97 years!

I would like to express my gratitude to the Hinckley family for sharing him with us for so long. Certainly, many sacrifices have been made by them in order for him to serve as our prohet. I appreciate each of them for their willingness to share him with us.

May the Lord comfort his family and us all as we mourn this great prophet's passing.
