Truly one of the greatest men to ever walk this earth! Our children grew up in the Church during President Hinckley's tenure, and were always glued to the television when he spoke. Heavenly Father has welcomed home one of the most faithful servants.

He will be greatly missed among the Chinese (and i am sure the rest of the world). I am amazed at his spirit, at his vitality. And his amazing memory!
I am glad he's been the "light" of the world!

President Hinckley personally touched my life with great impact. I read his bio and gleaned the courage to move forward in Faith, no matter what. He also reminded us with the 9 "Bs", and to Stand A little Taller and Stand for Something. He was so well read and knew so much that he could speak to anyone from a common everyday person, to celebrity and presidents, kings and princess'. He was a Man for All Seasons, and leaves a legacy of so much. I knew when the Perpetual Education Fund was announced I would be a part of it, I am thankful to have served a mini-mission with the young Saints in Monterrey Mexico. The leadership that may come as a result of this world wide program will raise up many leaders of countries for future generations. I am sure he has already been told, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter into my rest." and reported to the Savior of his accomplishments with deep humility-- so characteristic of Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley. I will miss your influence and reminders, our prophet dear. Lindon, UT

It's been almost 12 years since President Hinckley first was president of the church, shortly after I was born. Everything I learned was from this great man and I can't believe he's gone but he and his great words of wisdom will live on in all of us, let's not forget one of the greatest men in history.

President Hinckley was one of the most influential people of my lifetime. His humor and leadership, as well as his immense love of the gospel are some of the things I will carry with me the rest of my life. I will miss him so much, but am just so grateful the Lord blessed our lives with this amazing man. God Bless You, President Hinckley, for he has already blessed us.

We are shock to hear the news. We will miss him and his counsels. We may not have met him in person, but we learned so much from him, through his teachings, his writings and books and through the many conferences that he spoke. He is truly a prophet called of God. We loved him and we will miss him dearly. Allister

We add our love and graditude to the many before us. We really thought this dear prophet would lead us into the Millineaum! The Lord allowed him to remain with us for so many years. May his dear family be blessed in the days ahead. We pray for President Monson!

Gordon B. Hinckely was president when I became a member 11 years ago and because of his Christ-like love, demeanor & humbleness, among many other fine qualities, my conversion was made easy as trust in the restored Gospel thru the LDS church was very clear especially under his leadership. He will be missed, yet loved eternally. We members have deep testimony of Truth and feel peace knowing he is with his beloved wife Marjorie in the glorious Kingdom. His influence for good in this world is a true treasure.

'til we meet again, dear Prohphet.

Praise to the man! A true and mighty prophet of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will be missed, but we are grateful that he is, no doubt, happier now.

Our family is saddened to hear of your passing, but pleased that you finally made it to the other side. Because of your example to the world, we have all had more courage to share the Gospel. Because of your efforts, we live much closer to a Temple. Thank you so much for your service. Happy Trails, our dear Prophet.

I was sad tonight to hear of President Hinckley's passing, yet couldn't cry because I know he's finally with his beloved Marjorie, whom I also miss. I watched a wonderful 1-hour special on him tonight and during that I cried tears of joy for his lifetime of devotion and service to the church and the world. What an exemplary man. I feel honored and blessed to have been able to call him my prophet.

I am so happy for him, he gets to be with his wonderful wife and his parents and other loved ones who have passed! What a wonderful day for him. HE will be greatly missed! He was....is a great man!

Pres Hinckley was more than just my prophet - he was a friend of my parents, he married my wife and I on his 65th birthday and he spoke at my mom's funeral. He was an incredible man and a tremendous example to all of us - his love of life, his love of his wife, and his love of the gospel are things we should emulate. Also, his sense of humor showed that we can have fun being Mormons. I will miss him!

My sadness at his passing is softened by thinking of his reunion with Sister Hinckley and his greetings from Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.

This evening the world has lost its most shining star. Thank you President, for leaving us with so many priceless words of counsel. You richly deserve the reunion with your sweet Marjorie Pay, and I am confident that your Lord and Savior will proclaim, "well done, my good and faithful servant."

Isn't it wonderfl knowing The Plan of Happiness? I'm happy for Pres. Hinckley to be with this wife again!! For death is part of this plan, it's an important part but a part that all of us will go through. The thing I'm greatful is the life pres. Hinkley lived as a model for us to falo.
Linda C. Driscoll | 11:56 p.m. Jan. 27, 2008
President Hinkley inspired us all. What a great leader he was! I hope his example and legacy of love and service will prod everyone who has heard his voice to become better friends, better neighbors and more devoted family members.
Dirk | 11:56 p.m. Jan. 27, 2008
Thankfully, the world has been sprinkled with great and loving men such as he was and is. Though he will be greatly missed here. The reunion in heaven, in his honor, will and must be very joyous and loving.
The world may never know of all the good and love he shared with us. Thanks be to him.
Amy Milleson | 11:56 p.m. Jan. 27, 2008
I was so very luck to feel his love at this last GC. To feel the spirit when he walked into the room was amazing. I am so happy for him and his wife and that they will be together for eternity now. He always talked about how he could not wait to be with her again and now he will. He was the most amazing man for the church. He did so much for so many people. He truly was the most amazing man and did all in his power to help people in need. He will be missed but will love with us forever.
Marguerite Morris | 11:57 p.m. Jan. 27, 2008
We ever pray for thee, our prophet dear,
That God will give to thee comfort and cheer;
As the advancing years furrow thy brow,
Still may the light within shine bright as now.

Thank you, President Hinckley, for shining your light upon us.
With profound gratitude and love,
~Marguerite L. Morris~

President Hinckley gave us great hope in a troubled world and his life was a testament that good can endure to the end. As a true disciple of Jesus Christ he has now moved on to his next phase in life and this is a cause of celebration, he having fought the good fight until the end!

Because of this great man our lives have been changed for good. We have been sweetly uplifted, directed and lead by his loving kindness and amazing wisdom. May all the good that he represented be remembered and honored. He tirelessly served God with all of his heart to the wearing out of his life. The Perpetual Education Fund has lifted the lives of impoverished people throughout the world. Humanitarian aid in the form of physical, educational and spiritual relief has multiplied dramatically; given freely and without fanfare. Temples providing saving ordinances have been built throughout the world to bless the lives of millions. He was a true Christian, always pointing to the Savior and never to himself. We will miss him dearly.

I marvel how much a man can accomplish and sustain ... a visionary man ... a man lead by God and by his own good choices in life. I'm happy that he can be with his wife forever and continue in the work in heaven. I thank him for all he has done for me and my family and our country and the world. I will never forget the look on my children's eyes knowing he is a prophet, and speaks the words of God, even though they have left the church. They can not deny that fact. Bless his family. Thank you for sharing him with us.

We were saddened to hear the news of the passing of our beloved prophet, President Hinckley. What an incredibly amazing leader we have been blessed with these many years. His wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed. The growth the church has experienced during his leadership is nothing short of modern day miracles. As the word of his passing reached us, our family all shared our testimonies of the gospel and especially of eternal marriage. How great the joy he is feeling right now as he is once again with his beloved Marjorie. Our prayers are with the entire Hinckley family. We love you President Hinckley!

We collectively echo the words of praise for President Hinkley!! He was truly a marvelous Prophet!! We will miss his humor, his excitement for the Lord's work, and his vision of the future that he has possessed from day one. Since he became Prophet, the Church has seen a growth period like none other. He leaves behind HUGE shoes to fill. But we are confident his passing will not slow the work, growth and progress of the Church. Now he may enjoy being with his sweetheart once again, and watch from the Heavens as the Church rolls on!!

We will miss you President Hinkley!! God be with you till we meet again!

We heard the news while talking to our son at BYU. I was hoping he would make it to 100 because he is so amazing!! I'm sure they are having a wonderful homecoming on the other side. I appreciate his challenge in 2005 to read the Book of Mormon. That was a wonderful experience for our family. I love his saying "It will all work out". Let's show Pres. Hinckley how much we love him by carrying on with faith and extending the knowledge we have with the rest of the world. We will be praying for his family and the leaders of the church. (Spokane, Wa)

I am so very, very sad. I have been crying since I heard the news. I will greatly miss him. He has deeply touched my heart. But I know he is in a far better place, with many, many friends, family and especially his beloved wife, Marjorie. What a wonderful reunion for them all!! He fulfilled his life's work here on earth and it was his time to go. The Lord took him. His body was growing weary. His closing speech in October conference made me think it was his farewell to the Church members. To his family, the Lord's spirit will be with you, I know, at this time. He was and still is a wonderful man as everyone knows. My heart is breaking (maybe because it was such a shock to me--he wasn't sick really) because I will miss him so much. He lived a remarkable life. Farewell, President Hinckley. You will be missed terribly and You are greatly loved!
