Think of all the families who have been sealed in the temple due to the huge expansion of temples, throughout the world, under President Hinkley's service. This will be his great legacy.

This marks the end of an era. Pres. Hinckley has moved the church forward more than any other modern prophet since Joseph Smith. We love you so much and will miss you. May you enjoy your reunion with your sweet wife. Your example of humility and love will never be forgotten.

A sad day for us, but think of the celebrations on the other side. Not only his wife and family but so many others that have passed on who love this Prophet. They must be overjoyed to have such a great servant of the Lord in their presence.

President Hinkley's hard work ethic, skill in the media, sense of humor, testimony and prophetic inspiration are his legacy to the world! How blessed we are to have had him this long.
Our Prophet is dead, long live the Prophet!
The gospel is true and prophecy continues.
As in geese flying in formation, the tired leader drops back and a new leader braves the wind. So it is in the Church. We look forward to our new vibrant leader.

Ever since shaking hands with Elder Hinckley at the Palmyra Pageant in 1977, we have known him as a true prophet of God! He will be sorely missed in this life, but greatly welcomed in the next to work along side the other great prophets since Adam. We will always love you and have fond memories of you. May God bless your family and may the Spirit comfort them as you take your work on our behalf beyond the veil!

We are very grateful for the positive influence on our family from President Hinckley's many years of faithful service. His inspired vision and leadership lifted us all. His personal touch warmed and strengthened. His wisdom was directly and lovingly expressed. His example and teaching held up to our view a higher, a heaven sustained standard. He will be the prophet our children remember from their youth. As grateful parents, we honor and love the man and the office.

President Hinckley, Thank You for all you have done! Not only were you the Prophet of all people, you were my other Grandpa and I always knew as long as you were here, things were well. I am so very sad and feel empty, but I know you are with your wife and family and friends of the past. I am grateful to God for giving us a Great Prophet such as you! I know you are well and that makes me feel ok.

President Hinckley brought the church into the technology age. He shared his delightful sense of humor with the world via the media. He brought about the buiding of temples throughout the world. He recommended love for all and encouraged the wayward to return. What a legacy!

We thank thee O' God for a Prophet!
President Hinckley changed our lives forever.
CBV | 9:49 p.m. Jan. 27, 2008
He was my favorite prophet and he was the prophet for at least 13 years. It felt sudden and even shocking somewhat when the news came through tonight. What an inspiration to so many people. He touched so many lives and if I could be 25% of what that man has become then I will have lived a very good life. I loved how personable he was to people. He was funny with a quick wit yet he was so strong and firm on his convictions. He will never be forgotten and his faith and testimony will help others move forward to live better.
Bryce | 9:50 p.m. Jan. 27, 2008

Faith in every Footstep! What a wonderful prophet, seer and revelator. He has touched many lives and encouraged us all to greater faith as we raise the bar. I will miss you! Love and respects to your dear family. Thank you for sharing him with us for all of these years....

Aaron Copland's fanfare for the common man could not be more appropriate for a great loss today. Today the world lost a great man whose work was to please the Lord and serve his fellow man. If we could have a thousand presidents who serve america as much as he served his God, his family, and his people our country would be a far greater place. He was a man shall surely be missed amongst many nations. He left his mark upon the hearts of millions of people. Why?...to lift souls to higher plains. He was kind, yet direct. He was gentle, yet stern. He preached, yet followed. He spoke, and our hearts burned within us. No man could speak ill of Gordon B. Hinkley and honestly say that they know him. I heard his voice, and knew he was a prophet of God. His memory shall forever be with my family. Today, my family shall honor him. We will mourn for the earthly loss of a mighty son of God.
