This will be interesting to watch as the area is re-developed, but are we really putting nearly 50% into streets and parking lots? Maybe that is needed to support the rest but seems like alot of asphalt. Someone please explain this.

Congrats to the city, the school district, and the county for what will be an economic boon. To all the detractors who cry "foul", go do some research on the project-it's a win-win for everyone.

It's so nice to live in a city that has enough foresight to see beyond today's numbers. This project will not only bring and added vibrancy and commercial elegance but provide added housing to maintain it's success, while improving the property values of those of us who live here. Congratulations to the City of Hollady!

This will be a model project for the metropolitan area. A mix of uses, diversity of housing types, environmentally appropriate density, and finally celebrating the creek as an amenity.

Holladay's goals here are a model to follow, and people like Lynn Pace who have sought to keep it healthy economically and environmentally deserve real praise for their leadership. Enlightened leadership is rare here in the desert, but this is a shining example of intelligent decision making. Congratulations Holladay--wish I lived there.

to Watching Cautiously - 49% doesn't seem too hight to me. I'd bet the parking lot/asphaul that is/was the Cottonwood Mall has/had significantly greater than 49% - it was ALL asphault and mall.

Some of just care about the way our metropolitan area develops and have no vested interest in these projects. Is loving our community and celebrating good things always negative? My goodness, some of us can't win even when we try to remain positive in a roiling sea of negativity. How sad that people like "Hmmmm" are so jaded that even the positive is negative. Prosac in the water might help.

All of this infrastructure for cars and trucks means increased traffic. I am not opposed to the project per se, but when talking to city officials they admit the problem, but have no solution. The Holladay intersection is now barely tolerable and needs addressing as it is. The congestion, particularly east of the development needs to be addressed sooner than later. It may cost more money, but something has to be done or gridlock is in the future for those of us who live in or pass through this area. I'm concerned!
