Some things are just more important than the (unproven) well-being of a local population of whales, including military operations and seismic exploration of earth's crust under the seafloors. If we put nature first in everything, civilization will shrivel and die.

"agreeable" -- My point is that taking care of Earth is not an all-or-nothing proposition. If it were, we would never build houses, roads, or farms. We have priorities, and have to thoughtfully weigh each decision.

Blindly putting nature first every time is as thoughtless, unwise, and inadvisable as blindly putting industry first.
