The real trick would be a skier's paradise the average skier could afford. With an unlimited budget, anyone looks like a creative genius. I'm not impressed.

I agree with Skier.. it's not a home for the average skier. In fact it's not in the price range for 99.9% of skiers.

The designers missed the boat on this one!

This is another example of how our resources are being exploited by the rich. Let's say that you and nine of your friends decided to rent this place for only one night.. that's $1,050 EACH! I'd rather rent a room at the holiday inn and spend that money on having a good time.

Unfortunately, this home showcases the extreme wealth and unnecessary spending which has been engraven into our mountainsides. Most true skiing enthusiasts are satisfied with driving up the canyon from their modest homes in the valleys, taking the lift like the average Joe, and cutting into untouched powder. This place is for the rich and infamous who want to be associated with trends, fashion, and a world far apart from average skiers. As an undergraduate I worked at a custom furniture shop and was able to see first hand how these places cater more to plush lifestyles with a dash of the greatest snow on earth on the side.

This isn't supposed to be the house for the average skier. This is a house a ski fan would build had they had unlimited resources.

I think you all wish you could stay in a home like that--you know that you do. It's too bad that its so expensive. It is a dream house--that is the whole point to be extravagant. You all missed that point. My dream is not to go skiing and then go to the holiday inn. You all need a little imagination! You all know that if you got the chance--you would love to stay there fore free--but you don't have that kind of money to throw around. That is why its a dream....

The 14,000-square-foot house in Deer Valley was designed for skiers by skiers. It's selling for $19 million or renting for $10,500 per night — or higher during holidays.
