Jimmy thinks that until the Bucks turn into a inside-out team instead of an outside-in team, they will have trouble winning consistently. Did they forget how good of a passer Andy was coming out of College?

I wouldn't mind a trade for Bogut. Memo for Bogut or something. I think Bogut would give us more toughness on defense. I know this is just wishful thinking though.

It's good your not the G.M. Bogut for Memo. Would you would want Johnsen, of the Flash, for Boozer also?

I agree with the first 'bogut' post, i'd love to see a trade Memo-for-Bogut. I think he could be the piece the jazz are missing. They have plenty of offensive firepower, they need someone to clog the lane and stop opposing players from waltzing to the rim.

But i also agree that its a little bit of wishful thinking. They obviously havent given up on Bogut yet, in fact it sounds like they're going to start relying on him more and more which is awesome.

Go Bogut and go Jazz!

Intriguing proposition for a trade. Of course, with Okur's salary being about double that of Bogut's, it is impossible. Player-for-player, though, that is a tough trade to make. Okur, although he has been inconsistent this season, can be the most clutch player on the Jazz, and when he gets rolling, he is unstoppable. Bogut, on the other hand, is a power player who gets to the basket, but does nothing spectacular. He is the better rebounder of the two, although rebounding isn't really the concern with the Jazz.

Tough call, but I think I'd stick with Memo overall.

What about trading williams for William, almost as smart as tarding Okur for Bogut......Okur is the money man, give him a break....
Sokol | 11:07 a.m. Jan. 14, 2008
Okur might be back...the old Okur.. He has the shot
which spreads the floor and that one step around move
on Stoudemire proved this guys is improving. Why give up on him? I also see that he does not get rattled with turnovers like Boozer and Williams. His
veteran leadership is also valuable. Think the turnovers by Williams and Boozer are hurting the team. Let us not forget we are lucky to have the
'Wall Street Muscleman' Harpring.

What is all this Bogut talk? The University of Utah didn't go anywhere with him. Jerry Chambers was a much better college/Pro player. Utah was only one goofy game away from winning it all with Chambers. Amare Stodemire is not a center, so what's all the ballywho about how great Bogut is versus Phoenix. The Bucks weapons begin with Redd at guard....the Jazz haven't found him yet. If the Jazz can't sweep the Bucks every year, they don't begin to compete for a championship. Please don't talk about bringing Bogut to Utah by trading Mehmet Okur....that's not funny. Mehmet is coming a lot closer to earning his 'money' that Bogut is or ever will my friends. The Bucks lot all credability when that traded Kareem to the Lakers years ago. The next thing we'll hear is that the current 'Aussie' up at the University of Utah is that answer to some of the Jazz woes. Give Kevin O'Connor credit for being able to address a solution to the conflict with Jerry Sloan and a recalcitrant player. I think the Jazz are the beneficiaries of a good move, regardless of the possible repercussions down the road with C.J. Miles.

Bogut come to Utah? Yeah right. I realize that you ute fans would love to have something to cheer about this year, but bringing Bogut to the Jazz? He has played in 7 more games than Okur and is averaging the same amount of points. Besides Okur has that outside threat that makes it tough for big guys to gaurd. Plus he is quick inside. Bogut has none of that.
But wait a minute you guys... | 12:21 p.m. Jan. 14, 2008
Bogut's dad said he was going to be the best player in the NBA! That means we just gotta have him play for the Jazz!! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

The Utes didn't go anywhere with Bogut? Well, in the two years he was there, they made it to the big dance twice and the Sweet 16 during his Soph year. Oh, you're probably not familiar w/the Sweet 16 because your Cougars can't seem to make it out of the first round. Not to mention, the coach during his soph year was Giac. Makes you wonder how far the Utes would have gone if they had a coach in '05.
You kidding me | 1:46 p.m. Jan. 14, 2008
A trading Bogut for Memo is not the answer, but you can't deny that Bogut is a good player. He did great for the Utes and he is coming around in the NBA. Stoudemire may not be listed as a center, but he is a center really. And the reason why stats are averaged is so that you can easily compare players when they haven't played the same number of games. Playing more games does not make your scoring average higher, in fact it makes it harder to keep your average up.
RE: Jazz Fan | 3:04 p.m. Jan. 14, 2008
JAZZ FAN: AMARE PLAYS CENTER. What games are you watching? He is the Suns 5. OH, and Utah only went to the SWEET 16 with BOGUT!!! NOT BAD!!!!!
Jazzsmack | 5:18 p.m. Jan. 14, 2008
Playing inside out is fine if you have true big inside man like duncan or olijuwon or kareem, or shaq.

NOt some smallish power forward like boozer.

And your guards must be able to shoot the three pointer, or the outside part doesn't matter either.

As long jazz have love affairs with players like boozer and brewer or even karl malone, the jazz will never win an nba chamionship, no matter how many regular season games they win.

Just look at nba champions and how they are put to gether. How they are constructed.

And stop crying about how they almost won, almost only counts in horseshoes.

yawn...
re/Cougs 901 | 12:19 a.m. Jan. 15, 2008
dude, think about what you just said. Bogut has played in 7 more games than Okur and is AVERAGING the same amount of points. AVERAGE is per game fella, not a total. if they had SCORED the same amount of points that would make sense
Here are the stats | 12:29 a.m. Jan. 15, 2008
Bogut- just turned 23 years old. 13 ppg 9 rebs 2.5 assists 2 blocks and shoots 53% from the floor.

Okur- almost 29 years old. 13 ppg 5.5 rebs 2 assists .5 blocks and shoots 41% from the floor.

Bogut is better in EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY. So you BYU fans need to do your homework before speaking... once again.
Bogut... | 12:30 a.m. Jan. 15, 2008
Bogut is better than Okur right now, just cuz a center can shoot 3's he is better? haha... Bogut is 6 years younger and better at everything except 3 pointers which your starting center shouldnt even be looking at. Okur is Robert Horry, should only play 15 minutes a game to hit some shots. He cant play D, he cant post up, he cant pass, and he cant rebound. Tell me where he is better than Bogut????
Point Proven.... | 12:33 a.m. Jan. 15, 2008
I think we saw tonight who is better. Okur didnt have an answer for Bogut... you dont know a thing about basketball if you honestly think Okur is better
Bogut | 8:55 a.m. Jan. 15, 2008
Boguts dunk over Boozer explains it all! Oh and where is Hafa? Thats right hes in europe averaging probably averaging 2 points per game and .0 blocks with those long alligator arms of his. Go Jazz and Utes!
D-Will | 11:29 a.m. Jan. 16, 2008
Its too bad with all of Bogut's heralded defensive abilities he couldn't stop D-Will from taking it to the rim every possesion in the 4th quarter.
