I think most homosexuals would agree that the "stigma" has not been removed from them yet.

There is no one standing in the way of monogamous partnerships.

We really don't have to get a laundry list posted of criminal homosexual names do we? We don't have to list the cases of men choosing boys as partners, do we?

This is about non-traditional partnerships, ones not yet recognized as legal, right? You cannot pick and chose. If you want to allow homosexuals these rights you must afford them to other non-traditional "families".

Of homosexuals and pedophiles is not valid. A pedophile includes people that abuse CHILDREN of either persuasion. And certainly homosexuals are not exclusive to this. In fact, there are many that believe that the abuse of young girls by those claiming to want polygamy (plural marriage) is, in fact, pedophilia.
Homosexual couples is a "non-traditional" relationship, but they are trying to make it like the tradional relationships of TWO people making a committment to one another.
I believe that some people want to make it the same because they don't want to accept that there are many types of people in this world. Also, they may not want to accept that the things that men have sometimes done to young girls and women are bad. But believe me, I have seen this badness that some sick men have done to young girls and women. We need to stop lumping a different group in with these types of people!

If you want to allow homosexuals these rights you must afford them to other non-traditional "families�.
My comparison is valid because both groups have stereo types and yet not all in either group participate in sex with those under 18 years. I know several polygamists that do not marry under 18 and their families seem "normal". I also know gay men who out of respect for their family do not do PDA's. Many gay men have never forced themselves on another man. None of these represents the stereo types.
These two groups are linked and grouped with the heterosexual non-married couples because they traditionally are illegal and generally unaccepted.�
Just because polygamists are not your type of non-traditional family, doesn't mean you can make an argument for one without making it for the other. Anything else is hypocrisy.

Let them get their rights then! Obviously they are not linked together by the law. We have different courts handling their problems. Let them overcome their problem of a number of them marrying underage girls and forcing girls to marry. Let their leader be found "not guilty" or serve his time and then let them go ahead.
I predict the issues of gay marriage will be solved before the issue of polygamy. In fact, I predict polygamy will slowly fade away, but if not let them go forward. I have personally both kinds of people in both groups too...and I much prefer the gay people. This is a personal preference that I find that many in the nation share, as well. This sounds like it's not fair in your mind, but true nevertheless!
