Get over yourselves, Romney is a good candidate and that should be the real
issue. Anyone who can't leave religion out of this has no business
commenting in the political world.

After following the debates for both parties on CNN I feel that we have very few
qualified candidates. Romney is confident but if he doesn't believe in
himself, how can he encourage and motivate others to do the same.

Mitt will win New Hampshire. Of course one has to define win. If you check the
literature and any dictionary, you will find that if he comes in second or
third, he still has won, in the metaphorical sense. It just depends on your
literature, frame of mind, and rationale.

It sounds like the full contingent of Utah Dems are commenting today. The only
person who acted presidential on Sunday's debate was Romney and people are
responding to it. It will be interesting to see how it plays out today.

It is not a "fact" that Romney could beat Obama in a general election,
since Romney has never run against Obama. At best it is a supposition made by

Actually Mitt has a very colorful vocabulary. Recall his berating of a poor
parking attendant during the Olympics. Maybe he was just crafting his message to

I have been appalled at the negative attacks on Governor Romney, who, in my
opinion, is a man of character and integrity, and the only Republican candidate
capable of bringing about change in Washington. I applaud the fact that he has
been willing to admit that he has been wrong on issues in the past and has
changed his position accordingly. I know few people who have not changed their
minds on issues over time, were they willing to admit it. It is a shame that
Mike huckabee and his supporters in their blind religious bigotry and
intolerance for a man who is a Christian, but no their brand of Christian could
cost the people of the United States the only viable candidate capable of
defeating Democratic hopefuls in the general election.

I met Mitt years ago at a volunteer Olympic training session. He came into the
crowd and shook the hands of everyone there. I was quite impressed.
Don�t forget what he did for the Olympics and
Massachusetts; turning both around despite opposition and difficult
circumstances. Mitt earned my vote many years ago. Good luck Mitt!

I dislike Mitt more than most cadidates. Political machine candidates (see
Hilary & Hick-a-bee) make me sick. Unfortunately, I feel the best person for
me will be from a 3rd party that has zero chance of making any impact. However,
I intend to vote this way. At least I can take comfort in the fact that my vote
would count for nothing anyway since we have the ol' EC. Good luck finding
the right nut-job to keep screwing things up!

Montana, will do well in New Hampshire and the rest of the nation. Why would he
quit when he's leading?
He is a great guy with lots of experience, a proven record of success and achievement. Romney's decent, stable, no skeletons in the closet. He's brilliant and analytical, and can streamline and cut the size of government, if anyone can. More and more people are looking beyond the silly name-calling of Mormon and flip-flopper and once they do, they like what they see. I am encouraged.
I think Mitt will win in '08, and we will be blessed for it. He will make a great president!

Keep a fair perspective...who is the best person to lead the country in a) a
time of long-term war, b)a time if economic uncertainty, and c) a time where
home and family and "under assault" from many quarters. Whether you
"like" the candidate or not is not the point; what will the candidate
do for the country, especially in the three categories above? The successful
candidate is required to be firm, decisive, have a sense of business, and carry
strong family values. You may not like who you trust and you can't always
trust who you like.

Thanks, Barb, for making the readers of these comments aware of the fact that
the self-righteous Huckleberry opposes abolishing Birthright Citizenship for
babies born to illegal aliens. If Mitt Romney was the one calling attention to
that fact, Huckleberry would accuse him of engaging in negative campaigning. I
hope Mitt keeps pointing out the differences between himself and his opponents,
that he keeps telling it like it is and let the American people decide who best
represents their views.

New Hampshire and Iowa won't be important primaries tomorrow, if Mitt loses. If he wins, I can see the news rating it nearly as high as his triumph in Wyoming.

I'm not in love with Mitt Romney (in fact it looks like Obama might get my
vote) but I was wondering why so many people on here think he is so terrible. I
watched the debates, and his issue of "flip-flopping" was blatantly
addressed. I'm still not going to vote for him, but I'd like to know
what all the negative comments are based on.
