Who is the presidential candidate who will give voice to this ancient Christian community in Iraq, and other suffering civilians in Iraq?

Adding comment number two, here. I wish there were more comments on this article.

The disappearance of religious minorities with the simultaneous growth of Islam is no coincidence. No, not all Muslims are violent and bigoted. Yes, other religions have committed atrocities. No, to acknowledge that Islamic supremacism has existed long before the Iraq war or the establishment of Israel is not a call for genocide. It's a call for reform. It's a plea for people of all faiths to accept one another's differences and values. It's a strong case for secular governments where people don't fear death or oppression simply because of their beliefs or ethnic background.
Instead of calling an 'Islamophobe' anyone who tries to confront the theological basis for such ethnic/religious cleansing and discrimination (which is why Iraqi Christians are dwindling so rapidly), I hope Muslims will do the following:
Condemn violent jihad
Support governments where one religion is not favored over another
Condemn governments which force non-Muslims to obey Islamic law

If all of the Islamic community were just do these things, people like the Samows could feel safe in their native countries in time.
