What is it they say? "if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got." And in Utah we've always got our share of mining accidents. Of course the owners don't want regulation. Of course they want the state to step in and train miners. Of course, they don't want to do what is their obligation to their employees. They want the state to do it at the taxpayers expense. Most government regulations stiffle business, but in this case, they are needed to force wealthy mine corporations to do the right thing. Come on Utah Legislature, do the right thing here.
