Utahns are heating up phone lines to Iowa

It's odd...the last guy that was such a 'flip flopper' did not receive very much support here.

Abe, that's because you are comparing apples to oranges. Kerry flip flopped often according to the polls. Romney originally was pro-choice because that was the will of the voters in his State. He flipped to pro-life because he knows that is what is right. It's called having a conscience. Of course, his enemies would love to murk it up as being apples to apples.

If you keep repeating and repeating 'such a flip flopper' like that, are you counting on fooling people who actually read Mr. Romney's record in context?

The whole tone of your comment says, "I know you know what I'm talking about and will overlook his (some negative trait) because you are stupid."
That's how it sounds.

It's amazing to me that this is even necessary due to the fact that most Evangelicals can't see that they are being deceived. They are trying to change the definition of "Christian" so that Mormons don't fit it. It's too bad that the majority of them are smart enough to go to a dictionary, look up the definition, and realize that they are being led astray for financial and political gain. Huckabee is not qualified, has a terrible record, embarrasses himself each time he speaks about foreign policy, is campaigning only to Christians creating separation in the country and lied about having a degree in theology. It's a sad statement of where we are as a country if he leads in any poll.

Let's keep in mind that this is a presidential race, not a run to be a bishop. The guy has made too many gaffs. He seemed good at first, but now he is just another pretty face.

Indeed, Romney is running for President and not for Bishop. Romney simply doesn't have the experience to be President or the moral character necessary in a President. Romney may be able to fool people of his Ward on Sunday about him being a good person but we don't base our votes on what someone does on Sunday instead we base it on the real them and some of the things Romney has said (i.e., when he lied about seeing his father march with Martin Luther King he didn't say he was mistaken instead he went much further and tried to rationalize his lie) and done are more reflective of his character then his being a member of the Church.

Furthermore, Romney doesn't have the experience to be President. One term as Governor of a state does not make someone qualified to be President. Romney has no experience in the federal government or in state government other then his one term as Governor. Romney has also tried to use his activity as CEO of the SLC Olympics as qualification in foreign affairs. This is an outrageous attempt to disguise his total lack of experience.

People do need pastimes. This keeps them off the streets. Seeing how Mitt will never win, this activity doesn't hurt anyone ether.

There is nothing like having a stranger from Utah calling you about Mitt at dinner to warm your soul.

Let them waste their time. He hasn't got a chance in "heck" (as you Utahns say) to become president.

Even the Deseret News published polls taken in April and November of this year which showed that the people will not vote for a Muslim for president.

Second behind a Muslim is a Mormon. Which basically says that the only thing worse than having a Mormon for president would be a Muslim for president.

Good luck, Mitt, but don't waste any of your time preparing a victory speech.

If Mitt wins in Iowa, it will give him huge attention. And seal the nomination. Since he is projected to come in second. Mitt will also win in Arizona, despite McCain. If Mitt comes in second in both New Hampshire and Iowa, the nomination will go to the former Major of New York.

Please, Phil, there is no way that the nomination will go to the former "major" of New York. Much as folks hate to admit it, the nomination will go to either Mitt or Ron Paul (Constitution hanging by a thread.....Internet term ...."thread".) I'm betting on Ron Paul.

I take great umbridge at people who find two or three words like "flip-flop" and repeat them over and over again. Mitt Romney changed his stand on abortion when he actually realized that it involved the murder of innocent children. He changed his mind on a couple of other issues, but who hasn't? The other candidates are constantly changing positions and no one in the media is stressing this. It seems that liberals want Mitt do be perfect and that still won't be good enough. He is not perfect, but his stands on almost every issue is so close to what is the best thing for America, I whole heartedly support him and will rejoice when he becomes our next President. I can't wait to see what the good people of Iowa and New Hampshire do when they have the chance to voice their opinions on who is the best candidate.

I was helping with calling to help Mitt make it as President. I really believe in Mitt Romney to lead this country into a greater future! He is the most intelligent one in this race who I want to hear his "solutions to problems" of anyone running. He has the most experience and capability to build on and change America into greatness. We have seen the "miracles" he can work whether the Olympics, business, great family values. I have a son-in-law in the US Air Force learning Arabic right so he'll be headed to Iraq in the not to far future; I have a son who is working full time & paying his OWN way to college (legal) with his little family. I have a son serving the people in Africa who just had riotous elections there. Mitt is the ONLY one I trust with my family to work out all our problems and bring solutions and get thing done for us all. Why wouldn't we want a successfull manager like him who's such a hard worker. He's the one who doesn't NEED the job, has a great record of success & accomplishment. It would be a loss for America.

The greatest argument against the "flip-flopper" title. If he were changing from anti-abortion to pro-choice no one would call him a flip flopper. He would just be another person realizing his error in judgment. The media calls whoever they don't like a flip-flopper and stupid people, like a broken record, get in line.

I am impressed with Mitt romney's intellect and integrity as well as his work ethic. It is a great accomplishment to raise a good and decent family in america these days and he has been successfula in business through upright and straightforward business practices and hard work. I hope all good and God fearing people all over America take the time to really look at Mitt Romney as a potential choice for President of America and then pray for God to guide their choice so we can pick the right leader for our wonderful and unique country which was established and based on judeo-christian principles.

He is a good guy, however, he is running as an old Republican which the country is tired of. He has no new vision or ideas unless they are popular with the right wing of the Republican Party. Sorry!
