Physicians who are irresponsible make it difficult for patients who truly need such medications as sometimes doctors are hesitant to prescribe meds due to high profile cases of this sort. It seems better monitoring could occur to nip such actions in the bud before it gets out of control.

Patients who are irresponsible make it difficult for doctors to prescribe opioid medications for the fear of legal trouble.

Most people don't have a clue of how devastating and extensive the abuse of these controlled substances are. I have countless stories of people whose lives were completely ruined because of people like Warren Stack who perscribe these unbelieveably addicting substances to addicts that can't control themselves. My income has been affected dramatically because of a partner in business that couldn't control himself. This is a HUGE problem that isn't getting near the attention as it should. People think marijuana, meth, cocaine, and heroin are the drugs that are ruining society.....those drugs have nothing on prescription drug abuse fed by selfish, heartless doctors like Stack. It's a problem that (as far as I see) few care to fix. This is a BIG step. I'd like to see more legislation and control over the distribution of these drugs.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
