Sorry, I have heard of the Civil War in which many honorable white men were killed fighting to free black people. What has that got to do with the economy of the time? Not all of the founding fathers owned slaves either. Don't make absolute statements you can't back up. It's poor salesmenship towards your pro-illegal position.

Not all of the founding fathers owned slaves. Slavery did not enrich the United States and most Americans did not own slaves but did backbreaking work on small pieces of land. And as I said others worked 12 to 14 hours a day for northern industrialists, with no benefits whatever. Others still, were indentured servants who worked for years free, to pay off debts. Many honorable young and not so young white men fought to free black people from slavery. But these facts don't help the advancement of the One World Government and are not brougt up nowadays, are they. That doesn't mean they aren't true.

Twelve owned or managed slave-operated plantations or large farms: Bassett, Blair, Blount, Butler, Carroll, Jenifer, Mason, Charles Pinckney, Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, Rutledge, Spaight, and Washington. Madison also owned slaves as did Franklin, who later freed his slaves and became an abolitionist. All of us are the new American slaves. Despite the democratic rhetoric we hear and believe Bobby, all of have become trapped by a complex web of corporate and governmental behemoths that today controls our airways, educates our children, and manages every facet of our lives.
This ideology has become so ingrained in our culture that we no longer even question this.
It is all about slave labor. Because the high cost of living in America is so high, our business people will fight even minimum wage and therefore outsourcing and hiring illegal immigrants before they would part with one of their mansions or yachts.

I will support anyone that will stop further invasion by illegal aliens.

My only question is, where was Bill Hickman when they were giving drivers licenses to illegals?

A good number of these illegals are part of the Mexican Drug cartel. Not likely that Attorney General Shurtleff will do anything about illegal immigration when he was last years recipient of the Order of the Aztec Eagle award given by Vicente Fox.

The sooner people can accept the fact that nothing is going to stop the exodus of poor people to a better life, the healthier they will become mentally.

Not when they can't get a decent job because the wages have been suppressed to the third world wages they tried to escape. That doesn't make for mental health.

I'm talking about the mental health of the fools who support gestapo-like tactics being put into place to round up millions of people and that an American version of The Great Wall of China will keep people out.
Bobby | 3:12 p.m. Dec. 12, 2007
No need to round anyone up at all. When the jobs, gravy train of benefits, free schooling and medicine is pulled, people illegally in this nation, who Americans never gave permission to be here in the first place, will simply go home, won't they?

Oh, darn it! Forgive me friend, I had a mental block for a minute. You meant American citizens and legal residents--who are going to be affected by the massive wage third world wages resulting. Well, my comment stays the same, it doesn't make for good mental health of Americans and legal residents either.

I could see the problem forming years ago. It all started when corporations started downsizing, industry was moved overseas, and all that's left are scrubbing toilets in hotel bathrooms. Jobs the American ego won't do. So it appears our Mexican brothers and sisters are going to inherit America.
(psssst! You DO know that the powers that be all have gated communities and homes abroad so they could care less.
Cost of Illegat immigration | 4:10 p.m. Dec. 12, 2007
Undocumented alliens raise the cost of living for every U.S. Citizen.

1. Once someone enters this country illegally they have defied our immigration laws and have demonstrated a propensity to break laws.

2. Prisons are one-third to one-half full of undocumented alliens. We pay the legal costs to both prosecuted, defend, and keep them in prison.

3. Many companies/small businesses who hire illegal alliens pay cash under the table and don't pay the associated employment taxes.

4. Hospitals are required to treat undocumented alliens and if they can't pay (which is usually the case) we pay for their costs through higher medical/insurance costs.

5. We pick up the cost of educating the children of undocumented alliens. Since many of them can't speak english, the cost of educating them requires additional expense.

6. Many drug dealers are undocumented alliens sponsored by foreign drug cartels.

For those who argue that illegal alliens are low cost workers - think again. Look what its costing you to keep them here.

We would be better served to stop illegal immigration and send the undocumented alliens back, while at the same time create an efficient way to screen those who want to come legally and lawfully.

Get used to your Mexican brothers and sisters being in your neighborhood. Unless you want to arm-wrestle them for the crop-picking, lawn work, toilet-cleaning or Box Store jobs.
But I really don't think your big ego would allow that.
Blessed are the poor
Blessed are the meek

All I can say to illegals, GO BACK TO MEXICO, AND TAKE YOUR CRIME WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!
Beverly | 4:00 p.m. Dec. 13, 2007
When the first Europeans came to the Americas, there were no laws. However, There are laws nowadays and our world is quite a bit different from that of the 15-1600's. So you illegals cannot be making excuses for yourselves and breaking our laws and being here illegally!

I'm quite tired of all the drugs and crime that you people have brought to our(USA) country. We don't break Mexican laws, So why do you think you have the right to break ours? PLEASE PLEASE GO HOME!!!!... We don't need you here!
Mexicans on this blog? | 6:09 p.m. Dec. 13, 2007
These last angry posters sound as if they are assuming Mexican immigrants are on this blog as they scream "Go home!" at them.
Excuse me, but instead of breaking your medication in half - why don't you just swallow the whole thing?

I am curious... What happens to those illegals that happen to be a success in life, go to collage, and major as a teacher, but when its time to apply for the teacher possition they are told that they cant work because of their illegal status.

if you ask me thats a good teacher gone to waste.
what if you worked hard your whole life you earned everything the hard way you paid collage all the way, you helped an old lady carry her groceries to the car, you helped that poor man help fix his flat tire problem, and in the end you are tossed to the side just because you where born in a cheaper and older bed(mexico).

The Utah economy has grown in the past few years in great part due to the new immigrants legal or otherwise, now the ignorants are complaining about the price for their education as if the immigrant doesn't pay any taxes which is what they believe. Most immigrants pay taxes especially state and social security taxes they they will never collect due to their status, so in great part they are keeping S.S alive. now with the collapse of the Us economy which is coming soon, many immigrants are more likely to leave, and the greedy People will pay the price for their selfishness, thankgoodness GOD is alive and watching everything!
