Hydro-power is one of the few sources of power whith no emissions. It's clear the enviros won't be satisfied untill man is on the endangered list.

Storing water is more important than losing sucker fish from that area. Fish can be planted elsewhere, but water is a commodity that is difficult to predict. The alternative, drought, is much worse than the complaints of environmentalists. If the resevoir is full, then let's let some out and cleanse below. Since the big mistake a several years ago that allowed tons of water downstrea, the area has not been able to recover the loss of that water.

Interesting that a week before Flagstaff based water groups declared northern Arizona needs to be able to tap into the Colorado River to meet their water needs. Pretty hard without a dam upriver.

Uh - its "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me"...

As for the environmentalists - force them to put their money where their mouth is - turn off their water and let them find their own...
