Please...no whining about how Logan is on the 3A/4A border. Logan is a 3A school, so get over it.

Great game Grizzlies. I congradulate you on your championship. you took it to them and you toook it to them hard. i love how you play as a team and not individualy, great performances by many of your players. Jordan Ballam is an amazing player and a great leader. Devin peterson played an amazing game tonight and took it to judge's Defence nice job Devin. Jeff manning played his heart out i was sad to see him out with a thumb injury, but i am excited to see what he can do next year. Mike Favero is an amazing coach and i congradulate him on his success at logan. Way to go grizzlies hope to see you there for many years to come. GO GRIZZ

Good thing you have friends in high places. Logan's state titles before pickin on the little guys in 3A:0. State titles after starting to play teams with 1,000 less students: 2. Congratulations! Hope you're happy.

Congrats to Logan..Another example of the diveristy in 3A this year. Every region had it's strength's and weaknesses. This years title came down to who showed up to play and turnovers. With some of the issues 4A and 5A had this year(fights, transfers, walk-outs) its great to see the example 3A set this year with their sportsmanship and style of football.
Kudo's also to the coaches, students and parents.

Yes, Coach Favero truly is "one of Utah's most brilliant offensive minds."He consistently puts together successful teams. At the first of the season no one expected this team to go far because of most of last years starters had graduated but Favero did it again. He created another championship team. He is also a champion in the classroom. I know a young man who was obese and was not a football player but took a conditioning class from Favero. With Favero's knowledge, help and positive encouragement the young man was able to lose over 30 pounds. He is a changed young man. Logan is lucky to have Mike Favero as a coach and teacher

Way to go Logan! Congratulations for winning another State football championship and beating a fine Judge Memorial team. Great coaching by Favero and his assistants. The Logan players have shown a lot of heart during their miracuolous playoff run. You make Cache Valley proud. Congratulations also to Sky View and Mountain Crest for great seasons. Maybe next year Mountain Crest will let Logan play them in the preseason to add to the excitement of high school football!

To Braden-Check your data. LHS won the 4A State Championship in 2000 under Coach Favero. LHS first year in 3A was 2005. That year they won the 3A championship but they also beat Skyline that year in a non region game. Skyline was the eventual 5A champion that year.

I like how Judge Memorial auctioned off the game ball earlier this week. I wonder what the poor guy that bought it is going to get now.

Maybe we can get them to help out college teams. You know, like USC can play Dixie State or Snow College to make the PAC-10 more fair.
UHSAA has always had to stack the deck against certain schools and will continue.

I love how deseret news will come out on the Timpview article and say we are not going to post anything about recruiting, but they post all these comments about the size differences in schools on this one. I just love how biased this paper is. I've lived in Russia before, and I've never seen such leading propaganda as I see in the Deseret News.

Grizz Facts | 10:47 a.m. Nov. 17, 2007
Actually Braden and Anonymous, Logan was the smallest 4a school in the state for many years. In 2000 just a year before moving down to 3a they beat Springville for the 4a state title. In 2005 they played several 4a and even 5a schools, beating the eventual 5a champs that year and long-time powerhouse Skyline en route to another state title. So Logan High has been beating-up on more than the "little guys" for some time now. So much so that their long-time biggest rival Mountain Crest will not play them for fear of getting beat by one of the "little guys". Logan has worked for and deserved everything that they have achieved. People may try and make excuses, but nobody can take that away from them. Coach Favero is the best in the State.
