Exhibit spotlights march by Latinos

We don't need to "bring immigration to the center of the discussion", we need to demand that our legislators actually do something to punish law breakers who are in the state and country ILLEGALLY!

I don't see the "Dignity" part of the march. A case in point is the photo in the gallery of a woman wrapped in the flag.

Everyone does something dishonest or breaks the law. Even if it's just driving over the speed limit. Everyone does something wrong. We have no place to judge immigrants.

THIS COUNTRY WOULD BE MUCH BETTER OFF IF THEY MARCHED BACK TO WHERE THEY COME FROM

If I were you I would not make such comments because the Native Americans are about the only people who can say that. I bet you though that if the Mexicans were to march back to where they came from, they would be able to find a trail to take them back home; I doubt it would be the same for you.

I wonder who the Native Americans "ran out" before? Im sure some other indian trib that was not strong enough to win the battle over a quest for more land. Indians aren't all innocent. Something does need to be done and I agree with "Enough!" If we should march anyone out, it should be the legislation for not responding to America's request.

Angie, do you really think we have no place to judge? With that mentality why do we need a police force or a judicial system?

There is a HUGE difference between going 5 miles over the speedlimit vs moving you and your entire family into a country where they live as illegal aliens. My 5 miles over the speed limit will not cost millions to tax payers. My 5 miles over the speed limit will not drop the value of a community with large groups of illegals. My 5 miles over the speed limit will not affect the overall GPA and SAT skills of a school with large amounts of children of illegal aliens.

We have every right to judge any person who comes to this country illegally. We have every right to judge a person who refuses to learn english and bogs down the learning in our classrooms. We have every right to judge a person who does not obey the laws of our land.

Will the photo exhibits show the sea of Mexican flags carried by the crowds? I don't want to live in the United States of Mexico, and apparently neither do many Mexicans. Why are they trying to change our country into what they are escaping from? I know you see this happening, will it continue to be ignored?

Were these images photoshopped or something. I distinctly remember a lot more Mexican flags being carried that day than American flags.

The image that has burned in my mind from that day was taken at a school in California, where the protesters lowered the American flag, raised the Mexican flag in its place with the American flag hanging upside down underneath the American flag. I suppose that picture doesn't appear in this exhibit.

Many of these so-called protesters were school children who were looking for an excuse to skip school. They were widely praised by the media for taking a stand, and many repeated the process day after day (skipping school so they could march around downtown). My guess is, if my kids decided to skip school to protest something they would be given detention and would be derided by the paper for failing to go to school.

Ya know its funny. Mexico has one of the most guarded southern borders and some of the most strict immigation laws in the world. Wouldn't it be fair if we adopted some of thier tough laws?

Lets get OUR country back. Its way over time for the illegals to go back and get in line. That is get in line behind the people who are LEGALLY entering the country...did I mention that they are waiting thier turn?

It makes me sick when I go to Walmart and I say " Excuse me Miss do you know where ETC is?" And you know what they say back to me? SOMETHING IN SPANISH!

If you can't speak the language what makes you think you can work at a place here that requires you assist the customers?

I want my country back. My country speaks English. My country believes in God. My country believes in values. My country believes in liberty and JUSTICE for all. My country believes in MADE IN AMERICA. Not Chinese crap. Lets do something right for USA and kick out the illegals.

Why do some Utahans always come across with the "violating the speed limit" analogy when referring to illegal aliens. My gosh, I have heard the same line for over twenty years now.

Update, New York State has decided NOT to issue drivers licenses to iilegal aliens! That leaves Utah as one of the few states that do. Question, then why does a very conservative state like Utah coddle illegal aliens? Perhaps the Utah state legislature is taking its orders from someone else besides the people of Utah.

My family ancestory is from Mexico. My father is probably more critcal of illegal immigration than most european decendants, but whether or not there was a sea of Mexican Flags that day, I remember the flyers put out by the organizers of the event requesting that Mexican flags not be present and American flags be flown. They indicated that they wanted to show respect for the country in which they wanted to live. The sentiment was correct.

Having said that, I do not believe that people should go without consequences for being here illegally, but for those who are grateful to be here there should be must less difficulty in immigrating.

America is a beautiful, working, and growing ideal. I think anyone who wants to should be able to be a part of that.Remember the words on the statue of liberty:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:

so what do you think about all those big boxes going into Mexico like Walmart, Cosco, Homedepot and displacing all those mom's and pops businesses, causing them to migrate into this anglo country
