To the Osmond Family: My prayers are with you at this time. He was a great man who really loved and cared for his family. He was a great example for everyone. A man not afraid to stand up for his beliefs, the same beliefs that he instilled into his own family. God bless you all!

looking back a great example to all of us was and has been the osmond parents. the night marie performed was amazing but as I heard of the passing of father osmond. It came to me that mother osmond was waiting to dance again with her sweetheart. How beautiful for them to be reunited forever and how wonderful of a legacy of the memories and ventures they both shared with there amazing family. How blessed we all are for these examples. To the osmond family my prayers are with you all. But just remember the two sweethearts are dancing again.

I was so sorry to hear about George Osmonds passing. This family means so much to be because if it wasn't for their example as members of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints I would have never joined the church almost 31 years ago. Since then I have been sealed to my parents in the Omaha Nebraska Temple. I am so very thankful for my membership within the LDS church.

What a beautiful man and a wonderful example of a great family. To have such a patriarch, now home with his eternal sweetheart.

May God bless George and Olive for an eternity and may their children, grandchildren, and the rest of their descendents continue on the legacy of love, laughter and faith.

Many, MANY years ago, a school friend bought "The Plan". We listened to it often, memorizing many of the words.
YEARS went by and we were tracted by 2 missionaries from S. Jordan/Sandy and they talked about Heavenly Fathers Plan.
The music from the old album came back to my mind. It was truly a seed planted while I was a teenager.
I am now a member of the church, sealed in the temple, my 2 children served missions, as have I.
Thanks to a great family patriarch, who, through his children helped my conversion and my families eternal salvation.

I've been a fan for 35 years. Your family has always given me inspiration, and made me proud to be a Mormon. 5 of my coworkers and I are planning on going to Donny's performance in Vegas on the 17th. If you have to cancel, we will understand. I lost my mom last Christmas, and understand 100%. You have not only been a blessed family, but you have blessed millions of others lives. Your father will be greatly missed by all.

That was a touching tribute, Nathan. I'm so sorry for your loss. Grandpa Osmond will be missed.

I appreciate the opportunity this article gave me to express my sympathies to you and your family. I hope the funeral for Grandpa Osmond gives you the peace that I felt a couple of months ago at my own Grandpa's passing. It's a wonderful gift those of us that live on to get to say good-bye.

Our prayers and thoughts are with your family during this time. How great it is to know that we will be together again and that we are always tied to each other for time and all eternity.

I have been watching the Osmonds for years starting with the Donny and Marie show and continuing through the generations. The Osmonds are a family to admire, they survive though hard times with dignity and grace as I am sure they will all survive the passing of a Father, Husband, Grandfather and Great-grandfather, though this will be difficult to all. May the memories you have bring you comfort in the coming days, months and years. My thought and prayers are with you all.

George and Olive Osmond raised nine children to be productive, upright, contributing citizens, to be loving spouses and parents, committed to their faith and their morals. Father Osmond was always an example of an upright man, and his children speak of him with respect and love. What more beautiful tribute could be written?

My prayers are with the family as they go through these next days, as I rejoice that Father and Mother Osmond had a joyful reunion in Heaven. May the Lord richly bless them and comfort them.

To the Osmonds: I feel your loss. I can appreciate where you are. I lost my Father a little over two years ago. It has been a difficult time but it is getting better. As a BYU alum from the late 70s I observed your fish bowl lives around the BYU campus; you all did well. I am sorry that the Orem T.V. Studio project did not pan out. I am sure it caused you all financial anguish if my print sources are correct. Take care all.

My Prayers and deepest thoughts are with all The Osmond Family at this time.

My late Father was a Salvationist and they refer to it as "Promoted to Glory" and how fitting it is Father George Osmond will again be with Mother Olive.

Over the years I have always felt part of the larger OSMOND FAMILY which is a True Gift you have all give me great strength and may that be with you all now.

God Bless

The Osmond Family set a wonderful example of love, life, family, music and the Mormon church beliefs. Each child has carried on the work ethic instilled by their parents George and Olive and on to their own children. The examples they have shown the world have impacted so many. Thanks to the entire family for the wonderful music and examples. May Heavenly Father bless each and every one who mourns the loss of Grandfather, Brother Osmond. He is serving now in a new mission field with Sister Osmond.

I am sorry for the loss of your family Patriarch, but oh how happy he and your Mother are as they have been re-united, never to be separated again.
Thank you for sharing your family with the world. What great examples they have been in the entertainment world as well as in their private lives. Being LDS the world has their eyes on them waiting for a chance to attack them and our church. You and your dear wife Olive have instilled in your family what it is to be a true Christian.

With your strong faith in our Lord, I know you have found peace knowing we will all see our loved ones again. Memories are those wonderful things that keep our families with us in spirit. I am picturing your houses filled with those wonderful stories of your Dad and your Mom, some funny, some sad but mostly funny. Yes, I've lost both my Mom and Dad also and our stories were a blessing to us all. Please know you are all in my prayers.
Always, Donna

Good Morning America gave Brother Osmond a touching tribute; the first of many as other newsmakers follow suit. What a legacy this man has left. What a fine example of what we all wish to become in this life. His light will continue to shine through many generations, and his children shall call him blessed.

I am so glad you have had both your parents so long. What a blessing. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. What a wonderful posterity. I like the dancing through eternity. What good timing for Marie to tell us how her parents danced to earn money when they first got married. All of the Osmonds, thank you so much for your example through the many years from Andy Williams to now.

I too am LDS. I can just imagine a marvelously happy reunion between Bro. & Sis. Osmond in Heaven. Knowing you are a forever family must give you such comfort at this time. 90 years is a long time. He was such a great example not only to his family but to the world. I met one of his grandson's (Merrill's son) while he was serving a mission in London. We attended his ward one week and they announced he was leaving (I regretted that I didn't say hello) but the next week he was in the other ward in the same building which we attended. This time my daughter and I did say hello. He played the piano beautifully and as I am sure with most of his progieny - he was a wonderful young man. May the Spirit give peace to your family and all those whose lives George Osmond had touched. Mow George and Olive can watch Marie's dancing together. ;-]
Debbie | 4:42 p.m. Nov. 7, 2007
As I read the above comments a general theme crossed my mind and that is that the Osmonds were like our family because of their music and their examples they showed the world. You don't have to be LDS to feel that example and love that the Osmonds showed. I know that I am a member because of them and I can attest for a lot of their fans that Father and Mother Osmond were like our parents and they didn't mind being called "Father" and "Mother" by their children's fans. Those titles were out of respect for what they did and what their children did for us. I know that someday that we will be reunited with them, and our own parents. May Father and Mother Osmond shine down on all of us! I know that they are looking down on us now and their children will continue to make their parents proud during this brief separation. I love you, Osmond Family, and may Heavenly Father comfort you and confirm to you that your parents are together! You are all so special to me. I mourn with you, but I am rejoicing with you too. Take care!

Dear Osmond Family,
How great to know that families can be together forever!! By chosing to live the gospel and marry his sweetheart, Olive Davis in the temple; George and Olive Osmond have been sealed for Time and all Eternity. As we sorrow in the loss, and have the sure knowledge that many in heaven are singing and rejoicing at his return, take comfort dear friends and may our Heavenly Father give you strength.
