Utah wind? | 5:16 a.m. Oct. 28, 2007
Utah faces a grim future with looming carbon taxes and restrictions in the next few years given our over-dependence on coal-fired power generation. Why aren't we developing our own wind in rural communities? Yeah, yeah, everyone says Utah has no wind -- well, West Virginia has less than Utah, and it already has several wind projects fueling the economies of its local rural communities!

I am proud of you Mr. Tassainer! Generations coming up will be proud of you also. Too bad NEVCO Energy didn't get the picture. The proposal in Sevier County to build a 270 mg coal fired power plant near Sigurd will burn 940,00 tons of coal per year and spew out more mercury, emit more CO2 and all the rest. The country is waking up to renewable energy, I just we wake up in time and put the brakes on construction of dirty coal fired power plants.

Mr Tassainer represents the BEST that America has to offer. AS a previous poster mentioned... the Sevier Power Project people represent the WORST that America has to offer.
I give my full support and hearty thanks to Mr Tassainer for his fortitude and intelligence and high quality ethics in creating solutions to the problems we face in our quest for the energy that we love and need. I recommend him for the American Medal of Freedom because he is the kind of person that represents what we all want our children to become.
Wind power ROCKS and is a big part of the solution.
Stop Coal before it kills again.

Nice going guys! As a conservation biologist I am very proud of my dear uncles and the hard work they are doing to preserve our natural ecosystems and provide earth friendly ways to gain power. You are an example to all of us on how to be correct stewards of this earth. Gary I will vote for you in your next election ;)
