That's one tough Mayor...

I guess church on Sunday might be a little awkward for the little while?

This shows that you do not really know a person.

I smell a fishy story here. Mayor Godfrey will do anything to get his name in the news!!!

The suspect did not get a bad name because he is not named! If you do something wrong there should be a consequence, he deserves a bad name as well as additional consequence for his actions.

Maybe Mayor Godfrey can join the police force when he is umemployed in a couple months? Perhaps he can join the rodeo circuit and wrestle steers? The possibilities are endlesss.

Yes, I'm cynical. This seems a little too "convenient" especially since he's in a tight race for mayor. If he starts touting how he's tough on crime and then talks about this then I say "voter beware!"

I agree with Meisy. I think this was a political stunt in Godfrey's reelection campaign.

Yes, as a Utah native currently living in the mid-west, it never ceases to amaze me the stupidity of some of the comments. I used to believe that Utah folks were maybe a little more intelligent than those elsewhere. But some of you have helped me set that misconception aside.

So, just how much are you skeptics thinking that the mayor had to pay his neighbor to be willing to go to jail? Or are you suggesting that the officers and Ogden City DA are crooked too?

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
