This story reads like a press release. Can we get a little more out of the
DesNews?

Interesting point. In general, newspapers are good at political coverage and
decent at local news and sports coverage. But until a market gets to a certain
size, my perception is that their business/economy coverage is spotty at best.

We read about so many jobs coming here, but again, it's soooo important to
reveal the TIME-LINE for bringing them. For instance, Procter & Gamble says
it will bring around 1,000 jobs here, but this is OVER A 20-YEAR period. The
multiplier effect of a trickle of jobs (even at OVER the median County average)
won't be much until a critical mass is achieved. Moreover, how many
QUALITY, COLLEGE GRADUATE jobs are coming here??? It's about RETAINING our
university graduates, isn't it?

At the Meeting | 1:39 p.m. Oct. 24, 2007
J in SLC, I attended this meeting and the story reads accurate. Further, it
appears that the agency didn't release anything related. I couldn't
find anything on their site www.edcutah.org.
