Because I work for corrections, I was interested in your comments including us in your examples. You are right, corrections has never been more in need of openness and accountablilty than we are right now with this new administration. They truly do need to be candid about their shortcomings (no experience, knowledge, or clue about corrections) and quit giving endless excuses (we are changing the culture, whatever that means)and admit that their lack of the necessary skills has caused the many problems they face now.

You talk about leaders need to risk. Ask director Carver about what happens to risk-takers. Too bad he's not here now. We need him back.

I never knew the man, but he sounds like someone that I would support in a heartbeat! Government needs to understand that they derive their power from the people and therefore are not greater than the people. Our government at all levels fails in the comprehension of this vital bit of information, they think that they exsist despite the people and have no need to answer to the people for their failures which are many.

I didn't vote for any of the gangsters holding political office, or working as one of their henchmen and henchwomen.

Rather presumptuous of Florez to call it "our" government.

Thanks John. I've emailed your article to some administrators that need to do some soul searching.
