Sounds like a great way for our representatives to detach themselves even further from the citizens of their district. They'll let the lobbyists in and direct the people to the 'staffer'. All the while, government spending goes up.

300k is just the up front cost. Add in the medical benefits that a legislator's staff gets and that $400 million shrinks to the benefit of a select few. Utah is well known for its scratch my back politics. When we pay for the legislators to attend Diplomate school, you can bet a tax increase is in the offing.
