Inis and family, we love you and know Heaven is better off now. Inis, we remember your kindness, your smile, your testimony, and your loving dedication to Howard. Thank you for bringing us into your lives. It was a privilege working with the "better half" to help one of the greats. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I was reminded at how President Hunter took such great care and loved his wife, Inis so much. I was touched that when he passed away, the Church News article listed her children including them as his, without "step" in from of children. I also was so delighted to hear that here was a prophet, seer and revelator who chose a woman of great substance and even though a divorcee, it did not matter and it did MY heart good. They both seemed so devoted to each other and had a blissful five years together, and now have all eternity. What a love story. Bless them all.

Richard and Nan Hunter was my mission Presiden (1996-1998 New Zealand Auckland Mission). Their love for the work and their dedication to the gospel says a lot about the kind of people they associated with in their lives which includes Siste Enis Egan Hunter.

Rest-in-Peace

I met her at the church office building when I worked there. She was a great lady. One tiny quibble with the article-there was no church office building for her to work at in 1968-the 28 story tower was completed was completed in 1972.

The church office building in 1968 and many years before was 47 E. South Temple. An excellent article about a regal lady.

The only picture I was able to save from my mission days in Samoa (1967-1968) is one with then Apostle Hunter, Sister Hunter, a Samoan paramount chief and church leader and myself as a Zone Leader for the island of Savai'i. Their visit was a surprise to us all, but their love, humility, and smiling faces was felt during our conversation. What a loving and caring couple. These tears are not of sadness but tears of happiness and gratefullness for the time spent with you both. Alofa atu ma ia manuia le malaga Sister Hunter.

I am happy that she is able to be with her husband once again. It is very inspiring to hear that, not just a prophet of God, married a divorcee; But, a prophet of God who has the image of Christ engraven in his. Divorcee is not an automatic, negative. However, could be a great sign of strength and growth, and willingness to put righteousness, God, first.
