I hope that this article does open peoples eyes and minds when it comes to our water. Most people don't realize that if you put stuff down the drains, toilets, and gutters in our city, that some of that stuff gets in the water that you may eventually consume, not to mention our lakes and streams where our kids and pets play. where we go to relax on the grass in the park, and anywhere else that we use water. Please be careful when you dispose of stuff. don't put it in the water.

Not particularly funny? On the contrary, it is refreshing to see my tax dollars being utilized in such an innovative, imaginative and informative fashion. If the point of water consciousness can be made to a few more people for as little as it has cost to print up these labels, then my taxes are well worth the expense.

I would love to send a case of this to Rocky Anderson. It's the embodiment of everything he hates: Davis County, and bottled water. Of course, I'd have to drive my Hummer to Salt Lake City to deliver it to him!

If you want to deliver a bottle to Rocky I'l pitch in some gas money, but get some real sewer water. Nothing but the best for Rocky... Make sure you have some "ACLU The Ultimate Oxymoron!", "4 More Years George W. Bush For President in 2008", "Let's Impeach Rocky Anderson Instead" bumper stickers, and take the Legacy Highway pulling some 4-wheelers on a trailer.
No really...We love ya Rocky! Like a boil on the posterior.

Hey you forgot the most important polutants.
Allopathic Drugs and residues no matter whether you need them of not.
Another is all the soluble chemicals you can in contact with via the skin or lungs,

If the Government wants to recycle it should be 100% pure

Allopathic drugs? Get a grip. Caffeine is present at thousands times the concentration, and has known negative effects on the environment.

Back in the 80's I worked for the Greater Vancouver Regional District. They were so confident in their latest sewage treatment plant that they planned on giving out bottles of actual treated sewage. For the most part, the water in these little bottles was quite clear when viewed with the naked eye. Unfortunately, if you let the bottle sit undisturbed for a several days, a precipitate would form at the bottom. Shaking the bottle would then produce "floaters". I don't know how many, if any, bottles were given to the public.

"OrangeBeast" and "I'll pitch in some gas money" you should get a routine together and go on tour. That was hillarious! Thanks for a good laugh to start off my day right.

Anyone care for some Aquafina? Dasani? These waters are also a product of so called purified SEWER WATER Aquafina serves the freshest of New York City and Dasani quenches your thirst with the delicious SEWER waters of San Francisco and LA.
THEY ARE NOT KIDDING. when they say they are kidding. there is alot of money in water. and like every other natural resource the governmental officials will squeeze every last drop they can.

This was a great article. At first I assumed it was a joke, and half expected to hear "Drink Sewer water...we take the lumps out" or "Drink bleach, but always with a chaser". Instead the article was thought provoking, imploring people to be more responsible with what they let go down the drain, because the eventual destination of that water might very well be someones beverage. A++

hey, in singapore we drink REAL sewer recycled water. it's called NEWater! you can get a free bottle of NEWater if you make a trip to the water recycling plant. otherwise, it's innocuously mixed into our drinking supply...
Ken Miller | 11:46 a.m. Oct. 20, 2007
ALL WATER is recycled water. There is no supply of "new" water on this planet. It's all been mixed, remixed, and recycled since the beginning of time. Whether it's cleaned by nature or cleaned by man made means, doesn't make any real difference to me . . . as long as it is REALLY clean.

Sure, controlling the pollutants we send down the drain is critically important, but it's no more important than how we dispose of contaminated liquids that we don't pour down the drain.

Uh oh, don't tell the MPAA or RIAA that there is some REMIXING going on with water now. They may sue for copyright infringement, if the water in your bottle was at one time drank by an actor on one of their films or an artist in the recording studio.

Great idea! I'm going on a field trip to a sewage treatment plant tomorrow. I wonder if they'll give us some "sewer" water.
