Boulder: zen and now
9 comments | Read story
BTW I love Boulder, its one of my favorite places. Hopefully it won't be ruined by development like everyone in Utah wants
The area around Boulder is truly amazing - but Garfield county needs "citizens to match the scenery" . To date they have fought wilderness designation, pressed the psuedo paving of the Burr trail and annually launced ATV jamborees. In Boulder property values and the cost of land has skyrocketed and the cost of staying in the "listed" lodging is not cheap. FYI, during the spring, summer season there are a few other OK places to eat, and even lodge at. Camping under the stars though is the real treat - if you know where to travel. On the whole, a nice"feminine" article!
of the cowboys we have wide open spaces.
The Restaurants are nice but they are not all of the Boulder community. Most Boulder people are not Buddhist or Mormons but a general populace.
We like our small town and are not looking for development. Hopefully the developers will get a
grip on how beautiful Boulder is and not ruin it.
I really wish that when you write an article about a place, you would talk to more than just the people who are begging for your publicity, generally the honest truth is found else where!

the next morning we woke up with the birds chirping, we had a great time out on the back deck that overlooks a bird sanctuary. we had breakfast at hell's backbone diner. and we were off on another adventure.
but we've been back to boulder many times. we even had some business dealings with a man who teaches survival techniques & naps his own flint knives.
boulder is beautiful! i think everyone should visit, but very few should stay.
