Catholic group blasts archbishop

Me comment? No way. It's not my church. Amd while I enjoyed living in the Bay Area, San Francisco was not my thing. But I'm very interested in what Pope Benedict has to comment.

Sounds like thie Kreitzer woman needs to be more concerned about her standing with God and quit spending all her time decrying others as evil. The Catholic church has no need of volunteer witch hunters and self-righteous volunteer judges.

This is terrible. The Holy Eucharist is the most holy sacrament in the Catholic Faith. Catholics that miss Mass are not supposed to receive the Eucharist. These queers purposely mocked the church and filmed it. It is bad enough that they sat in the church, but receive communion. They also disregard real nuns who dedicate their life to Jesus. God help San Fransisco. It only gets worst and worst there. The Church must do something here. Being silent on this issue is not acceptable. On top of everything. You know the only Chronicle didn't have one word on this outrageous act. They didn't feel it was news. The empty suits in the city hate Christianity. They show a little compassion towards islam because its anti-christian. We need to change the cities name to San Fran-Sicko. Why cant these gay people live their lives without offending peoples religious beliefs. Anyone see what they did at the Folsom Street Fair. Mocked Jesus and the last supper. They remade the last supper with leather outfits and sex toys. How appauling to do to someone faith. Doesn't anyone in the gay community want to step up to these thugs

These people make a shame of the gay community. If they want respect for their identities, they should lead by example and show respect towards the most sacred thing that a person has, which is his/her religion.

If these freaks think that by mocking the church they're improving their status in the community, they have a lot to learn about how to give and receive respect.

They're free to believe what they want and do what they want with their sexuality, but they're not free to insult others. The Catholic church has never insulted them. It just made its stand clear. The Catholic church has one of the biggest and most efficient networks of charity programs in the world. Instead of being thankful for the role that the church has played in the community, these people only know how to offend. They make a disgrace of themselves , of the gay community, and of the city of San Francisco.

Our Catholic faith teaches us to forgive and to pray for these men. It doesn't require bashing their morality and judging them. Evil must be recognized for what it is. Partaking of the Holy Eucharist is a sacrament for us as Catholics, a grace given by and through Christ. For these men, it as not sacred. To assume they recieve the body of Christ is incorrect. To understand their misguidedness is our faith.
How wrecked and torn are these mens lifes that they would seek pleasure from such an act. I despise their attempt to mock our Mother Church, however, I will pray for lost souls.

Why was the label 'conservative' given to those Catholics who expressed concern of the to Archbishop's actions? Under that logic, would Jews who speak out at men in Nazi uniforms coming to their synagogue be described as 'conservative?' I think not. I think that if something disrepectful like that were to happen, much of society and the media would say how wrong it was. For us as Catholics, there's nothing 'conservative' about not wanting people to disrespect our worship. Please hold back any biases you have and give the same accomidations and sympathies to the worship and practice of the Catholic Church that you would give to any other religious group.

What would Jesus do? How do we read the parables?

Who did he eat with? Who did Jesus condemn?

Yes, Jesus did not judge and instead loved those that were marginalized.

But He also kicked the merchants out of the house of God because what they were doing was extremely offensive.

Yes, we should not judge them and consider them brothers and sisters, no matter what they do. Yet, we have every right to denounce them when they enter a sacred place and try to defame it. And we have every right to call them out for what they are: pitiful and disrespectful.

Read your Bible! Good will be called evil, and evil will be called good. Please wake up before it is too late. God loves all and is slow to anger, but his patience ran out for many other peoples through out time. Save your soul and try to save others and try to love one another as he loved you. Stop this hate filled nonsense before it is too late. Hate the sin - not the sinner, because life is too short to live any other way.

To think that this subject is discussed in the same sentence as the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our LORD is extremely disappointing to me. What is going on with our religious leaders to let things get this far. When will these same religious leaders realize that we have to adopt better education to our faithful when they are young so they don't even consider growing up to be so disrespectful.

I think the Archbishop is covering up. He knew exactly who these people were. I saw the event posted on YouTube. He even spoke to one of them for afew seconds before giving them Holy Communion....which is against Catholic Church teachings.
I think it's time for the Archbishop to quietly resign, because He obviously has no stomach for upholding Catholic teachings.....and that's His job.

In case there was a misunderstanding, I never used the term "queer nuns" when I spoke to Elaine Jarvik. Perhaps she read that on a blog. I did, however, express my concern for those who are engaged in a deadly and depraved lifestyle (sodomy) that takes decades off their lives. (Read the obituaries in "gay" newspapers.) Sodomy is a sin that cries to heaven for vengeance according to the Bible. I hope everyone who reads about these poor, enslaved men will pray and fast for them. Their souls are clearly in jeopardy and it's an act of charity to tell them so. That's one of the reason's the Archbishop's action was so grievous.
