You can thank the local geography for that. I'm just glad that UDOT is leaving US 89 along for now between Farmington and South Weber. That will be my alternate for me when I travel to see family in Kaysville. All I can say is that it is about time that UDOT did something about the bumpy road full of holes between Farmington and Layton. The repair work this past summer helped but not much. The should have reconstructed the whole road like they did to lanes two and three on the southbound side about five years ago or so.
