Amazing that a town that can't move traffic from one side to the other would oppose a road. Glad I don't live there.

We don't? With the explosive growth in the Lehi/SS/EM/AF area, how do you propose to solve the problem of traffic? We can't just close our eyes and make the problem go away. Sheesh.

What a sad little article; the author didn't even bother to explain why Lehi opposes the current plans, simply that Lehi is against it. Why not lay out both sides of the dispute? Is it really that difficult to research your articles, Deb?

Who in their insane mind would want to live in Lehi (or Eagle Mtn for that matter) west of I-15, especially if the city is fighting a collector road? You people are absolutely nuts. Main Street is a nightmare. I avoid your town like the plague!

Main Street is a nightmare that's why locals are smart enough to avoid it. I never drive on Lehi Main Street, I take the back roads and it takes 5 mins to the freeway. I do agree that people who live in Eagle Mountain are insane...

Yes there is a curse in Lehi's history, it is called Eagle Mountain, the Ranches and Saratoga Springs.

Darrell needs to speak his piece. . .isn't that nice. I thought all this time that he also represented Lehi but I guess he is more concerend with what the Mayors down in the south end have to say than what the Mayor of the City that is impacted by the decision thinks. Lehi - some advice. Quit paying your MAG bill. Just walk away. They add no value. As for the City's side of the road project. You folks at the News ought to be embarrassed. The City mailed a flier to all its residents that clearly explains this whole situation. Why don't you print that? For the misinformed that think they know it all, get more details and you will know that the only officials who have ever really worked to move transportation solutions forward are your city officials, including Saratoga Springs and Lehi. Rights of way, plans, road master plans, all in place. UDOT - no work product, just studies. How many in the last decade on the same issue, two, three? More? Lehi is right. UDOT is wrong. Its that easy! Everyone gets it but the brilliant folks that work for UDOT. .

So now Darrell Cook speaks his piece and gets in the paper. What? The News ought to be ashamed. Lehi and other City officials have been proactivley working together to solve these vexing problems for years. Anyone who knows anything about the situation knows that. Our Lehi officials recently informed all residents about why they feel the way they do with a very clear brochure that arrived in my mail box. I read it. I agree with it. I think most people would if they saw it. Print it DesNews and show how poor your reporting really is.

A bridge at the point of the mountain spanning the valley is a good idea?!?! Have you ever been near the point of the mountain during a winter snow storm? A bridge in the area would make things 10x worse. I'm telling you now that that is a really bad idea. I'll be by later to pick up my $25,000 check.

It's too bad that Lehi fought so hard and strained relationships to the breaking point before coming up with the best plan that's been presented so far. I think UDOT is going to sweep the 4800N plan under the rug even though it gives Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs the quickest route from I-15 coming from the north and leaves the southern arterials in place.

Shrubber: 4800 N is not going to be the mammoth bridge you think it would be, look at the route; it will be safer than the curve around the point of the mtn will be so don't attach that danger to the bridge. Maybe you should have them go shut down that bridge in Provo canyon if you really want to make roads safer. If it's still so dangerous in the snow, you still have all of the arterials in the same routes roads in the 2100N proposal will run.
