For all of you who have the nerve to write such horrible things about another individual. So willing to try and destroy a person and his family, look inward and then judge. I can guarantee you that you don't know all the facts of this story, and you draw conclusions that can be devestating to a family. Those that are so willing to pounce are usually those that have more than there fair share to hide. Just food for thought. Hang in there Dave & Family.

All the information comes from public records at the county court house and Settlement Statements!! Dave Fox is the only FRAUD here!
BOOO HOOO right back at you!! | 5:16 p.m. Sept. 28, 2007
K Mr. know it all, YOUR WRONG, So boo hoo hoo to you!! Get over yourself and move on with your life...Don't you have anything better to worry about! Honestly I'm very close to Dave, and I can 110% GUARANTEE you he didn't make 1.6 Million. That would have been nice though if he did make millions and have homes all over, like some people are saying. Since we are such good friends, then Maybe I would get a free place to stay when I travel. Dang It Dave! Haha That is too dang funny that you are on here throwing out numbers. I am embarassed for you. So take your smart ARSE somewhere else.
Right back at you | 8:06 p.m. Sept. 28, 2007
Didn't say he got 1.6 million but he did get high 5 figures and he knows it. Didn't say he had homes all over either, in fact this is the only one he was stupid enough to do, but too bad for him that he got nailed for his fraudulent activities. Get real, would anyone in their right mind let someone talk them into a 3 million dollar loan and possible financial ruin if he wasn't getting a lot of money for it? Looks to me like he is still on the hook for the 3 million and it serves him right. You can cry in your milk with him if it will make you feel better. He is getting what he deserves for his actions. Maybe next time he won't go after the quick, dishonest buck eh? I bet he confides ALL of his finances with you too since you are such great friends. I'm done now, no more posts from me - hope you and Mr. Victim have a great life.
They all Knew | 10:25 p.m. Sept. 28, 2007
He was warned not to do business with Brad Kitchen. He knows what he has done. He stepped up and pleaded guilty. He now owns a home loan for 3,000,000 when it only worth 1,700,000. Now he or the bank is going to take it in the shorts. Brad knew what he was doing so did both of the investors. They thought that the value would always catch up. Greed. This has hurt more than just a few. Everyone who owns a home in the neighborhood is now paying for this greed. Hyper inflated homes that Brad just let's the property go down the tube. Drive and expense neighborhood and guess, which home brad put and investor in?

i am so amazed at how many people don't understand why someone would plead guilty even though he is a victim. doesn't anyone really have a clue about the law? if you signed papers trusting someone had explained them honestly and then later found out they lied about it you still signed the papers....you're guilty, even if you're not guilty of knowingly commiting fraud. I KNOW he did not knowingly do what most of you are blaming him for. That's all...out.
ME | 2:14 a.m. Sept. 29, 2007
thank you to those of you willing to assume the best instead of the worst about Dave. I suppose i know him as well, if not better, than most and i guarantee he is a good man! When you are in the public eye you can't even blink wrong without being condemned so the negative comments are not surprising. It says so much about a person when they will look for the good in someone who is human and makes a mistake or two or three or four. So thank you.
Hey me... | 2:26 a.m. Sept. 29, 2007
When smart people, like Dave, decide to go for the money at the expense of other people, they deserve to be punished. You cannot tell me he was 100% clean in all of these deals. He's cleared a lot of bucks from this scam. Good man or not, he took advantage of a LOT of people, and he took that advantage to the BANK! If he's a really good man, he'll help repay $$ to those affected. His mistakes HURT people who possibly could ill-afford to pay the inflated costs. The rules don't change just because you're rich at the expense of others or are on TV.
RE: Hey me.. | 7:36 a.m. Sept. 29, 2007
Trust me, He didn't take money from people like you think he did. I can promise you though, the guys that started the whole thing that roped DAve into, GOT MILLIONS. They will be majorly punished in all of this. Funny thing is that about 30 other people were involved and stuck in this mess just like Dave and Hmmmm THEY ARE ALL OVER THE NEWS. I wish they would come out and say, hey I got stuck in this mess too, I know how Dave feels!! ITs just really too bad!
bcb | 5:05 p.m. Sept. 29, 2007
Come on, if you were in his shoes all of you would be doing the same thing he is doing. Just because he is a celebraty of sorts you want to hang him. There are allot of people buying homes, signing the same papers he did and then fixing them up and selling them. Whats the differerance? People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. You had better hope God forgives people who say one thing and do another. Give it up, there are more important things to worry about. Good luck Dave.
No rope | 9:36 p.m. Sept. 30, 2007
I don't want Fox to hang, or even go to jail. I just don't want to see his mug on Channel 2 anymore, or any Utah station for that matter, or hear him on the radio either. He needs to disappear from the public spotlight.
RE: Hey me... | 4:04 p.m. Oct. 1, 2007
Let me make is clear that Fox made a mistake for his involvement in this scheme. But even the police acknowledge his involvement is limited and they have no reason to believe he was aware of the depth and magnitude of this fraudulent scam.

He should have known better than to falsify his purchase intent, but his mistake was simply in marking a box incorrectly and not actually inflating the value of the homes. To say "he took advantage of a LOT of people" and "and he took that advantage to the BANK!" are very much overstated comments trying to sensationalize his role. In more than one statement (yes, including the one from his lawyer) it is stated that he actually lost money in this whole thing.

Be careful when you rake him over the coals making less than truthful statements. I think he has learned his lesson and he quickly admitted his fault. I agree with BCB...people sure are quick to judge. It problem helps them live better with their own faults.
What BS | 7:20 p.m. Oct. 1, 2007
What a bunch of BS - Fox is not stupid, he went into this knowing he was going to make some good money or he wouldn't have put his good credit on the line - no one would do that for pete's sake!!!! As for his lawyer... he will say anything that will help his client look better, especially one that is as public as Mr. Fox is - we all know that. No one signs for a multi million dollar loan without having some inkling that he is going to be liable for it worst case. Apparently, this "worse case" was what happened to him and I think he is getting only a portion of what he deserves! yea, he might lose money now that he might get poreclosed on but he certainly didn't lose money at first.

to disappointed in Utah--comments on forums like this one are not what is ruining fox and his family's lives. it is the consequences of his illegal actions that are hurting them. i think it is far better for people to be able to vent their frustrations and feelings on a board like this than to say mean things to his family in person or send hate mail to them. if these comments, based on someone's actual feelings hurt or offend someone, they don't need to read them.
Dave Nation! | 3:03 p.m. Oct. 2, 2007
Now the 10th uniform for his New and Improved Sting team will be.............Orange Jumpsuits!
LET'S GET THEM ALL! READ!!!! | 8:57 p.m. Oct. 3, 2007
There are mortgage companies, mortgage brokers, title companies that are accused of doing mortgage fraud. The real problem are these clubs that call themselves investment groups. This the the real problem. They know what they are doing and teach the buyers what to say to the mortgage guy. Yet, you don't see a lot of clubs getting caught because their name isn't on anything ... no responsibility!I SAY THAT ALL LOAN OFFICERS, TITLE COMPANIES AND REAL ESTATE AGENTS COME TOGETHER AND START PUTTING TOGETHER A LIST OF THESE WANNABE INVESTORS AND TAKE THEM DOWN! Most are doing joint ventures with sellers and make the difference between the sales price and what the seller is willing to take. THIS HAS TO BE STOPPED AND THIS IS THE REAL ISSUE AT HAND. I'm glad that Dave will testify but I know personally that loan officers that have been in the business can rattle off a list of names of wrong doers within seconds. If you are really concerned, call the FBI and have them investigate this more. Pull settlement statements, see who is getting paid on the sellers side! You'll be suprised of what you find!

I really didn't see any remorse in Fox's interview sure he sorry, sorry he got caught. I will never watch your station with the same trust again. Too many other choices. Sorry that the viewers feelings on the matter don't count. I have yet to talk with anyone who thinks fox should get another chance. Fox is not that stupid he knew what he was getting into. He knew he wasn't going to live in the home. Give us a break.

I can't believe the comments! People make mistakes! Dave showed remorse on TV last night. You can't tell me that he knowingly went into this to defraud people. I don't personally know him... but I can assure you he didn't. All of you "perfect people" out there that want to lynch Dave should be ashamed. He will pay for his mistake. That is all we ask for. He is paying already. Quit being so judgemental.
